Announcement
A quick update: I've been busy creating even more designs over the past few weeks, so keep an eye out. Expect a bunch of new listings to spur your creativity.
But I don't simply create new listings, I also ensure my existing designs feel the love as well.
I've incorporated your feedback into a Version 2 of my popular rolling tray designs.
Requested improvements include:
- Improved the oval Bic lighter fitment.
- Widened the rounded-rectangle slot a smidge to account for stickers.
- Adjusted the grinder text to leave room for a 1/4" v-bit without disturbing the edges or step.
- Accentuated the upper edge chamfers in the Vectric files to be more.. chamfery. So even if your CNC alignment is a little off you'll still get a fully chamfered edge.
Thanks for the feedback, and I love to see your finished projects!
It's always gratifying to see other peoples' work using my designs. Keep them coming!
Cheers,
Phillip Webber, Modern Vintage Limited.

About ModernVintageLimited

Lumber sourced entirely on-site enables me to choose only the best cuts for your orders. Total sustainability!
-
No clear-cutting here. All trees are sustainably harvested, keeping nature the way it was meant to be, natural.
-
No mass production going on here. Each item is hand crafted with love.
-
Unique, limited-edition creations you'll find nowhere else. Keep an eye out, because they don't last long!
Hand crafted woodwork you won't find in any store.
Your beautiful Kentucky-sourced-and-made live edge and custom designed products come with all of the hardware you need for mounting in either studs or drywall.
My floating shelves, once mounted, will appear to be floating yet still have the holding capacity of a normal bracketed shelf. This is due to the 5/16" solid steel dowels which provide uniform support throughout. It's a truly unique look and the live edge makes each one entirely one of a kind.
The pictures are of actual customer-ordered shelves. While yours will vary slightly, the hardware and overall design will remain the same. Variations can include grain pattern, knots, worm trails, moss highlights, and wood coloration.
*Have a specific affinity for knots?
*Like multi-colored grain patterns?
Let me know on your order form and I'll do my best to make specific cuts which match your preferences.
** No grain/live edge pattern is the same! That's what makes these one-of-a-kind shelves.
* All wood used for these products is locally sourced from my own tree farm. I hand select the trees, cut them, mill them to size and create your one-of-a-kind shelf all on the same property here in Western Kentucky.
**Nothing is outsourced, and it's 100% sustainable.**
For every tree cut, there is at least one more planted.
Each piece is unique and one of a kind. I take great pride in bringing the raw materials to their finished state, and you make it happen, so thank you!

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalized orders
If you need a specific size or depth shelf, order the next size up and specify the exact dimensions you require in the notes section of your order.
I custom make every shelf, which means custom sizes are not a problem.
Care instructions
Every shelf is finished with boiled linseed oil, which is both protective and permanent. It is designed to offer the best natural look and allows the wood to breathe.
Clean your shelf with a damp rag if it gets dusty. Soap is not recommended, as the sealer is oil based.
I spilled water on my shelf! What should I do?
Not a problem. Every shelf has an oil-based sealer and will repel water.
Simply use a paper towel and wipe off the standing water. The shelf will finish drying on its own.
