About MollyJohnsonCeramics

Practicing craft keeps me focused. Creating art expands possibilities. Joining the two is my aim.

I was first introduced to clay as an undergraduate studying art at Kent State University. The process and environment had me hooked. It has been my medium of choice in creating ever since. It has been over a decade now that I have been working and evolving with clay. I like the dynamic nature of clay and the stages it evolves into. I work like a craftsperson, my pottery skills honing in practice. My artistic ideas are applied to my functional and scuptural work, always growing limbs off these ideas which in turn help me push the material in a new direction. Creating keeps me inspired in finding new avenues to explore in this life.

I am a wife and mother or two tiny hearts. I work with clay and in turn it provides back to me balance, inspiration, and focus. I hope it finds its way into your hands and makes you happy too.

Shop policies

Welcome to my shop!!! All items are made with tender care and attention to detail in quality craftsmanship. Or I should say-- Craftswomanship! The users comfort in function is of importance to my process and is considered a priority in the making. I glaze lead free in consciousness to my and your health. The clay I use is a white stoneware. It has a smooth creamy off white surface when fired. If you decide to own one of these items I would love to hear your feedback on what it is you appreciate most about its use, appearance, and/or connection you feel to the work.
Thank you and please enjoy.

Additional policies and FAQs
Please care for your handmade pottery with love. Although it is microwave and dishwasher safe, it is highly recommended that one hand washes and pre-warms (by using warm water) a dish for hot use. They are not made from an industrial manufacting facility so they require some TLC for longevity. Just like it can to your toes, direct cold to hot can produce shock in ceramic ware.

Clay and glaze materials are lead free.
