Me thinks i'm the only St. Louis barefoot runner and with these tabi socks, winter running is a joy! So I lanolized my boiled wool tabi socks (courtesy of Audrey@mollyspurl) using NOW 100% liquid lanolin: n n n nand some Dr. Bronners baby-mild Castile soap: n n n nThe washing/soaking directions are here: n n n nhere's the info for lanolizing, from one of Audrey's happy customers, Deacon Patrick: n n n nI reduced the drying time from 1-2 days down to a few hours with the use of a fan. I aimed the air into the openings of the socks. I placed a boxed deck of cards into each sock to hold them open, allowing air to flow all the way to the toe end.

From A duplex in Bensonhurst, Brookly....

The girls grew up in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn
and shared a passion for
knitting - Molly, Pearl, and
their baby sister Selma.

Pearl would bring me vests of intricate patchwork crochet while Molly made blankets and my first pair of slippers

Though Grandma Molly taught me the basics, it was Selma who, with the patience of a Saint and a Piña Colada in hand, fostered the beginning of my woolen journey.

It was in Selma's attic that we gathered the wool for my very first project - the epic multi colored Afghan that took my entire freshman year of college to complete....

Molly's Purl was founded in 2010 and has been an active member of the DIY and crafting community. You'll find us in juried craft fairs through out the tri state area and in boutiques through the hudson valley and beyond.

It's my absolute passion to create, I hope you find something to "like" : >
