The Bradley Vest is a loose dress that can go from formal to fun just by using different fabrics! The front features optional faux welt pockets and a button front - there's an extra "just for looks" button at the pointed bottom to lend it an upscale feel. There is an optional Mandarin collar to give a girly touch for your little lady. The shoulder wrap around to the back, creating a neat visual detail. The back is pieced to allow for tabs that can be buckled or tied to snug the waist. The vest is fully lined with fully enclosed seams. And it goes together so fast you won't be able to stop at one!

The Fix it All Coveralls and Coat is the perfect pattern for dress-up fun! The pattern is designed to be hacked. Besides all the included details, there are also full instructions for color-blocking - the only limit is your (or your child’s!) imagination! If you prefer not to go the dress-up route, it also works great as warm coveralls or a jacket.

Choose from coveralls, a pieced coat, or a non-pieced coat; button or zipper front closures; a fuller or more fitted back (it’s designed to fit over an outfit - perfect for trick-or-treating); regular collar, mandarin collar, or hood. There are optional side slits marked on the pattern pieces - these allow easy access to pockets in pants that are worn under the coveralls or coat.

The Upton Sweatshirt is an intermediate level sewing pattern, but is also suitable for an adventurous beginner who is looking to spend a little extra time to expand their skill set.

This sweatshirt pattern offers both comfort and style. The back piece sweeps over one shoulder and is joined to the front by a zipper, complete with a zipper shield to keep the neck from getting pinched. The asymmetrical funnel collar is closed by two button or snaps, but you can vary the amount and size to create a lot of different looks. There are two welt pockets which connect to form a kangaroo pocket - this is a perfect place to use a contrast non-stretch woven fabric in a fun print. The collar can also be made or lined with a woven fabric for a fun contrast or pop of color.

The Upton Sweatshirt is drafted for boys, but works great for girls as well - just be extra sure to check her measurements against the size chart.

Lightweight lining fabric such as quilting cotton or jersey - 1/4 yard for all sizes.
Optional: 1/4 yard stretch fabric with a good recovery such as rib knit or cotton lycra for the sleeves cuffs and bottom band.
1 zipper, 6” or longer.
2 buttons or snaps (more or less can be used depending on your final design). I recommend 3/4-1” but larger or smaller can be used as desired.

The Austins are a relaxed fit, straight leg men’s jeans pattern with classic five-pocket styling and lots of attention to detail. They are definitely “dad jeans”, with the loose fit around the hips and waist that my husband loves, and are meant to be worn with a belt. If the intended wearer likes more fitted jeans, you will need to blend sizes or make custom changes to the pattern pieces (there are several links in the instructions to helpful blog posts for this). There is also a chart with the finished garment measurements included in the pattern.

The instructions are fully illustrated and detailed. I have a very easy method for installing a functional fly and have included a link to a blog post with pictures instead of illustrations, if that’s your preference. There are tips for:
Modifying to shorts
Using topstitching thread
Making a muslin
Distressing the denim
Adding ready-to-wear-inspired finishes such as rivets and a patch at the back of the waistband.

The pattern pieces are in layers, which means you can print only the size you want and save on ink, and on no-trim pages, which saves time putting the pattern together.

I recommend using a mid-weight fabric, such as denim, corduroy, twill, or duck. Heavy fabrics will create a lot of bulk and a home machine may not be able to handle the layers. You can use the same fabric for the lining, but I like to use a lighter weight fabric like quilting cotton to keeps things from getting too bulky. The lining is used for the inside of the waistband and the front pockets, so it’s a great place to hide a fun novelty fabric!

Requirements are based on 54-60” wide fabric and are given in yards. You may want to get an extra 1/4 yard to compensate for any shrinking in the wash. More may be required for print or stripe matching. Please see the last picture in this listing for the measurement chart.

Sizes 40 - 46: 2 yards main fabric
All sizes: 1/2 yard lining fabric - 44/45” wide lightweight fabric such as quilting cotton
