What a pleasure it is to view Michelle's works and to interact with her. Lady Liberty screams Classic Forefather Americana and I am very glad to have made her "acquaintance". She won't be given as a gift until next summer to a prim lover I know..shhhhh....I can't say who... but the "lady" is a terrific 4th of July tie in. I may let her out of her shipping box ( also a work of art in itself in how she was wrapped & packed) for Memorial Day! When you see something that is OOAK (One Of A Kind), you just must snatch it up. Especially when its one of these special pieces by Michelle! I'll be sure to check back early and often to view Michelle's listings. Thanks for the prompt shipment and the extra goodie as well (a very cool prim gingerbread man ornament & completely unexpected)! Merry Christmas to All!

I absolutely adore this shop. Michelle is a treasure, and all of her items are just darling. I have so many in my home - for autumn/Halloween, and now for Christmas. Everything is so well-made and adorable. Items arrive super quickly, and always packed with such care. Thank you for making my holiday decor so very special with your home-made items. Every time I look at them I think of you and your kindness to me. Thank you!!! :D

About

Handmade Items That Are Unique Yet Affordable

After going back to school for several years, I encountered some health issues. I had almost earned my bacherlor's in science and had planned on going into wildlife biology. I realized this wasn't going to be feasible anymore so spent the next couple of years at home trying to keep myself occupied. I started doing cross-stitching again, a long-forgotten hobby. After a while, I began looking for new creative outlets. Under my husband's guidance I began doing some woodworking and realized how much I loved doing it. I also discovered primitives and instantly fell in love with them. I then started making different fabric prims and playing around with the grunging techniques.
I first began selling some of my items at a lovely shop near our property in northern Michigan. After several months I began thinking about selling on Etsy but was intimidated at first. Finally, I took the plunge and opened my shop on December 6, 2011...
At Monday's Child, customer-satisfaction is a top priority. I strive to make unique one-of-a-kind or limited quantity items that are of the highest handmade quality but yet obtainable to everyone by keeping my prices lower. I am inspired by my love of simpler days gone by and try to add that feeling of love and wamth to the things I create.
