Welcome to Fox Majeure!

I started it in 2011 driven by requests from people who admired and wanted to own the same things I made for my own son. I've been making things from the age of five, usually gifting my creations to friends and family. And then once… made an impromptu sale. On a 12-hour Transatlantic flight my then 18 months old son was genuinely engaged in playing with a sensory book I’ve made. A fellow traveler insisted on buying the book literally on-the-fly endorsing my handwork very generously. There were no more excuses for not selling my work - that's how I joined an amazing, overwhelmingly inspirational, and talented Etsy family.

Since then, I design and hand-make with a focus on brain development and stress management. Each product at Fox Majeure is thoughtfully created to cater to cognitive needs, providing engaging and mentally enriching playtime. Experience teaching pre-K through elementary school help me to come up with activities for a broad spectrum of needs and interests. Fascination with creative workmanship and sincere desire to share knowledge brought me to teaching handwork to adults and kids, both curious explorers and Waldorf students.

What started as a mommy's hobby of making cute little things brought me into working with specialists. Whatever I envisioned and intuitively chose to be in sensory activities before, now stands on professional knowledge and understanding of neuropsychological fundamentals of behavior and learning. Together with offering sensory activities for learning through play, I am cooperating with rehabilitation and occupational therapists - the same or slightly adjusted activities show effective results when used to develop, recover, or maintain activities for people of all ages with mental health problems, disabilities, injuries, or impairments. Recently, I've expanded my interest in mentally stimulating toys to include sensory activities for animals.

Fox Majeure clients live in 27 countries and there’s only one continent, Antarctica, that I have not shipped – yet! I designed and made a sensory book for a royal family. Many of my clients return - to get a gift for the new addition to their families or to expand the collection of what they've previously got me to make for them.

Still looking for proper language to express what Fox Majeure clients say about the quality and aesthetics. Something like "it is more of an art and haute couture than what is usually expected from handmade items". That was my honestly earned bragging moment :)
