Hallo! Mein Name ist Eva und ich bin die Schöpferin von Monsterous Designs, wo ich alternative, leicht lesbare Kreuzstichmuster, Kits und mehr erstellen möchte!
Seit ich denken kann, habe ich immer wieder Kreuzstiche gemacht, wurde als Kind von meiner Mutter unterrichtet und habe später selbst neue Fertigkeiten erlernt. Ich begann, meine eigenen Muster zu entwerfen, indem ich Geschenke für Freunde und Familie anfertigte und mich ursprünglich auf die Herstellung von Fanartikeln konzentrierte. Ich wurde viel besser in meinem Handwerk und einer meiner Freunde empfahl mir, einen Etsy-Shop zu eröffnen, und so begann Monsterous Designs!
Anfangs verkaufte ich nur meine fertigen Stiche, aber immer wieder fragten Leute, ob ich meine Schnittmuster verkaufen würde, also investierte ich in eine geeignete Schnittmustererstellungssoftware und ging von dort aus weiter. Anschließend habe ich an der Entwicklung meiner eigenen Originaldesigns gearbeitet und angefangen, diese zu verkaufen – wodurch alle meine Fandom-bezogenen Inhalte kostenlos waren, was ich bis heute tue!
Ein Problem, das mir bei Kreuzstichmustern immer aufgefallen ist, ist die Art und Weise, wie sie formatiert sind. Als jemand, der mit Migräne zu kämpfen hat, dreht sich bei mir der Kopf, wenn ich auf viele kleine Symbole starre!
Vor diesem Hintergrund möchte ich Heftern aller Erfahrungsstufen dabei helfen, sich alternativen Designs hinzugeben und leicht lesbare Muster zu erstellen. Dies erreiche ich, indem ich verschiedene Musterformate anbiete, um allen Vorlieben gerecht zu werden. Ob größerer Druck, ohne Symbole oder in Schwarzweiß, bei mir sind Sie richtig!

Hi! My name is Eva and I'm the creator behind Monsterous Designs, where I aim to create alternative, easy to read cross stitch patterns, kits and more!
I've been cross stitching on and off as long as I can remember, being taught by my mum as a kid and learning new skill myself later on. I started designing my own patterns through making presents for friends and family and originally focusing on making fandom related items. I got a lot better at my craft and one of my friends recommended opening an Etsy store and so began Monsterous Designs!
To begin with, I only sold my finished stitches but I kept having people asking if I would sell my patterns, so I invested in a proper pattern making software and went from there. I then worked on developing my own original designs and started to sell these - making all my fandom related content free, which I still do to this day!
An issue I've always found with cross stitch patterns are the way they are formatted. As someone who struggles with migraines, staring at lots of small symbols makes my head spin!
So, with that in mind, I aim to help stitchers of all levels indulge in alternative designs and make easy to read patterns. I do this by offering a variety of pattern formats to help accomadate all preferences. Whether it's a larger print, no symbols or in black and white, I've got you covered!
