MoonBeam Farm è una piccola fattoria biologica a conduzione familiare situata su dieci acri nella fertile valle della California settentrionale, appena fuori dalla città di Corning. Situato proprio fuori dall'Interstate 5, siamo 15 miglia a sud di Red Bluff e circa 110 miglia a nord di Sacramento.
Le nostre due colture speciali sono la spugna di luffa e la lavanda. I nostri semi e il nostro patrimonio vegetale sono biologici e non OGM. La nostra azienda agricola è anche priva di prodotti chimici e pesticidi.

MoonBeam Farm è uno dei pochi coltivatori biologici di spugne di luffa negli Stati Uniti. Coltiviamo la nostra luffa dal nostro cimelio raccolto non ogm, curando le nostre piante a mano ogni giorno, assicurando che la spugna disponibile per i nostri clienti sia al suo apice. Le nostre spugne sono così morbide che possono essere utilizzate quotidianamente. C'è una differenza significativa tra la luffa coltivata biologicamente e quelli che acquisti nei negozi. Quei negozi duri come un mattone hanno comprato luffa, sono tenuti a passare attraverso un processo di trattamento prima di essere importati nel paese, lasciandoti con un prodotto così ruvido che non oseresti metterlo in faccia. Hai semplicemente bisogno di sentire e sperimentare la differenza!
Durante la tarda primavera e la stagione estiva (giugno-settembre), siamo aperti per visite alle fattorie in modo da poter sperimentare in prima persona come viene coltivata e raccolta la luffa.
Loofah Sponge non è solo per il bagno, ma può essere utilizzato per lavare finestre, piatti o persino l'auto. Abbiamo anche venduto luffa a molti dei nostri amici equestri, che la usano per strofinare e massaggiare sui loro meravigliosi amici a quattro zampe.
Insieme alla nostra Luffa, la fattoria ha anche oltre 1.100 piante di lavanda. Con più di 8 varietà, le nostre piante biologiche sono coltivate per olio, gemme e uso culinario in mente. Con colori mozzafiato che vanno dal bianco croccante e ghiacciato al viola intenso che ricorda la campagna francese. Il 2017 è stato il nostro primo anno per consentire a molte delle specie di arrivare a pieno germogliare, dopo aver raccolto da maggio a metà giugno. Lo spettacolo di colori e profumi è stato incredibile ed è stato meraviglioso condividere questa esperienza con i nostri visitatori e vicini qui alla fattoria.

MoonBeam Farm is a small organic family farm nestled on ten acres in the fertile valley of Northern California, just outside the town of Corning. Located right off Interstate 5, we are 15 miles south of Red Bluff and approximately 110 miles north of Sacramento.
Our two specialty crops are Loofah Sponge and Lavender. Our seeds and plant stock are organic and non-gmo. Our Farm is also Chemical and Pesticide Free.

MoonBeam Farm is one of the few organic heirloom growers of loofah sponges in the USA. We grow our loofah from our own harvested non-gmo heirloom seed-stock, tending to our plants by hand each and every day, ensuring the sponge available to our clients is at it’s peak. Our sponges are so soft, they can be used on a daily basis. There is a significant difference between organically farm grown loofah and those you purchase in the stores. Those hard-as-a-brick store bought loofah, are required to go through a treatment process before being imported into the country, leaving you with a product that is so rough you wouldn’t dare put it to your face. You simply need to feel and experience the difference!
During the late spring and summer season (June—Sept), we are open for farm tours so you can experience first-hand how loofah is grown and harvested.
Loofah Sponge is not only for bathing, but can be used to wash windows, dishes or even the car. We have also been selling loofah to many of our equestrian friends, who use it for rub down and massage on their wonderful four legged friends.
Along with our Loofah, the farm also has over 1,100 Lavender plants. With more than 8 varieties, our organic plants are grown for Oil, bud and culinary use in mind. With breathtaking colors ranging from the crisp and icy white to the deep purples reminiscent of the French Countryside. 2017 was our first year to allow many of the species to come to full bud, having harvested during May to mid-June. The show of color and scent was amazing and it was wonderful to share this experience with our visitors and neighbors here at the farm.
