La gente me pregunta: "¿Por qué Luna en junio?"
Suelo decirles que es "porque suena bien. Nací en junio y soy noctámbulo". Es la versión en pocas palabras... Pero quiero intentar compartir el verdadero significado detrás del nombre.
El estudio Moon In June nació de una necesidad de conexión a tierra. Trabajar con arcilla fue una forma de reconectarme con esta tierra y con mi cuerpo durante un momento en que la realidad se sentía tenue.
La Luna es una metáfora de lo intangible: sueños, emociones, ideas. Lo uso para explorar la riqueza de mi mente y espíritu.
Junio, un mes que, en el hemisferio norte, está lleno de vida verde y próspera, es una metáfora de la relación entre mi cuerpo y esta tierra. Utilizo esta metáfora para explorar la riqueza de mis cinco sentidos y para ayudarme a mantenerme conectado con mis raíces.
Trabajo con arcilla, pero también estoy trabajando constantemente con mi psique. Estoy abierto a dejar que el trabajo cambie y se expanda según sea necesario. Mi misión es seguir aprendiendo y compartir la belleza con el mundo cuando pueda.

People ask me : "Why Moon In June?"
I usually tell them it's "because it sounds nice. I was born in June and I'm a night owl". It's the nutshell version... But I want to try sharing the real meaning behind the name.
Moon In June studio was born from a need for grounding. Working with clay was a way to reconnect to this earth and to my body during a time when reality felt tenuous.
The Moon is a metaphor for the intangible: dreams, emotions, ideas. I use it to explore the richness of my mind & spirit.
June, a month that, in the northern hemisphere, is full of green, thriving life, is a metaphor for the relationship between my body and this earth. I use this metaphor to explore the richness of my five senses & to help keep me connected to my roots.
I work with clay, but I am also constantly working with my psyche. I'm open to letting the work shift and expand as is necessary. It's my mission to keep learning and to share beauty with the world when I can.
