5 out of 5 starsI got this as a Christmas gift for my mom. She loves using her garden garlic to make bread dips and this is perfect for that. It’ll also match her copper kitchen.

Throwing on the potters wheel
Meet Toni of Moon Lake Pottery
Hello, my name is Toni Street and I am the artist behind Moon Lake Pottery. My Pottery Journey began in 1985 when I took my first ceramics class. I immediately fell in love with clay. I continued to do pottery until 1991, when I became pregnant with my first child while living in the beautiful Hudson Valley in New York State.
I took a year off and then jumped back in head first. I started taking classes twice a week, learning from various teachers all over New York State. I spent a year as an apprentice and that’s really where my love for pottery exploded. I began teaching classes, making glazes and using a kiln. It was the best stepping stone.
I moved to New Zealand where I continued learning in a community studio. New Zealand is so beautiful and is filled with inspiration everywhere you look!
When I returned to New Jersey I decided to take a 5 year hiatus to spend more time with my kids. After 5 years I moved to Alabama and joined a local studio where I started taking classes again. I also began teaching classes to both adults and children on how to throw on a potter’s wheel. I eventually built a home studio on our property. The name Moon Lake Pottery comes from the beautiful lake that I see every day from my pottery studio.
With over 30 years of working with clay, my pottery continues to evolve as I am constantly inspired to try new forms, techniques and glazes. Each piece of pottery in my shop is something I am very proud of.
I make my pieces using the potter’s wheel. I layer several glazes so that when they are fired they intermingle and flow together to create interesting color combinations, making each piece original and unique.
My shop is filled with functional pottery. The pottery pieces I have made are intended to be handled, used and enjoyed. They are all microwave and dishwasher safe, unless specified.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read more about me. If you should have any questions, please feel free to contact me through Etsy, Facebook or Instagram.

All of the pottery in my shop was thrown, glazed and finished by myself. I love the way it feels in my hands when creating on the potters wheel. Nothing is better than something handmade. Thank you so much for stopping by❤️❤️
