Announcement   Allow me to tell you about my handmade rag rugs. I learned to crochet when I was very young. A sweet neighbor lady taught me how to make rugs from plastic bread wrappers. Without telling you how old I am, I've been making a variation of these rugs for over 40 years. The rugs you'll find in my shop now are made from quality cotton fabrics. I use mostly bed sheets but also choose curtains and tablecloths occasionally. I insist on examining the fabric content label as well as caressing the fabrics! I also use quality fabric from thrift stores or my own abundant fabric stash. You will never find a rug here that I would not be proud to use in my own home.

There is a feeling of nostalgia in my rag rugs. I can not tell you how many times I have been told that they are "just like the ones Grandma used to make...". My rugs will endure. Feel free to use them in any room of the house or to give them as gifts. They are reversible and machine washable. They are thick and plush and a joy to stand upon.

I also offer colorful woven baskets that serve a variety of purposes. They are especially great to use as reusable gift baskets. They are soft and unbreakable and therefore make clever toy baskets. You are sure to find a perfect use for your ThankfulRose Home crocheted cloth baskets.

From time to time you'll find felted wool dryer balls and "destash" items here. I have a clothing shop as well and sometimes offer bits of fabrics here.

Check my feedback and feel confident that I am here to create beautiful things and to make you happy. :)

Absolutely wonderful. Sally made a custom rug for Our kitchen floor according to my specifications and it turned out even better than I had hoped. Requested a gray and green color scheme. The end result matches my kitchen perfectly! Her material is sturdy and soft. Durable and thick. Obviously high quality. Feels great on bare feet but I know it will hold up against the beating that my kitchen may give it over time. I highly recommend this seller! Her turnaround time was remarkably fast. Compared to other custom items I've ordered on etsy, this one completely blew me away.

A beautiful, very cushy rug, in vibrant colors, just like the photos. It feels very well-made. Just what I was looking for. And Sally shipped it super-fast, too!

Sweet orange baskets. Great as fruit bowls, gift baskets or room decor. Easy to clean and unbreakable makes them perfect for children's toys and necessities.

About

It started with a hook and a desire to create....

Many years ago, when my children were small, I would create in the night as they slept. I sold my wares in craft shows and then beginning in 2007, here on Etsy. I was a full time Mom who moonlighted as an entrepreneur. In my shop you'll find crocheted rag rugs as well as knit and crocheted scarves. I have what my creative sister refers to as "firefly syndrome" so over the years I've taken on many different projects. As a result, you'll often find sewn items as well as destash items.

My heart is really in crochet. It fulfills my need to create beauty as well as functional art. I can chose to create rugs and baskets from fabrics or scarfs and afghans from quality yarns. It is therapy for me and a day does not go by that I do not pick up one of dozens of hooks and use my hands to create.

My rag rugs are thick and plush, a joy to stand on. My feedback will assure you of their quality. https://www.etsy.com/your/shops/MoonLightSally/reviews?ref=shop_info

Some may have purchased rag rugs or baskets from my previous shop SallyRags. When I found myself with 3 shops, in order to maintain my sanity, I combined it here.

I love to travel and I love to return home. I always have a project with me. My son says, "Mom's idea of a vacation is crocheting somewhere else."

My second shop is https://www.etsy.com/ThankfulRose
