5 out of 5 starsThe piece is beautiful, unique, perfect size, well made, and literally made to order. My daughter is a rock climber and so I asked the artist for more pointed mountains. She made it that day and got it to us in time for Christmas. It was packaged beautifully and my daughter has worn it everyday since she got it.

Art made from Heart + Head +Hand
Bio and Artist Statement:
West Virginia native Marjory Moses has spent her life working, raising a family, and making art in the hills of her home state. Photographer, painter, and metalsmith, she has award-winning pieces in exhibits, collections, and shops in the Appalachian region and beyond. Regardless of the medium in which she works, her art is always influenced by the woods and water, hills and skies, and her artisan jewelry always shows the hand of the maker at work.
IN her own words:
“Modern. Organic. Metal + Stone.
Elegance and rustic charm meet in the materials and fabrication of my artisan-style jewelry. I use quality components: sterling and fine silver, jeweler's brass, bronze, copper, authentic gemstones and cultured pearls. My processes include traditional metal-smithing: hand-forging, sawing, soldering, sanding, and polishing, hand-crafted patinas, stone setting, wire-wrapping, torch-firing, and kiln enamel.I believe that how it's made matters, and strive for quality in my craftsmanship. I'm drawn to simple geometric elements that I like to wear myself, and I like to create pieces that reflect what I see in nature, just as I do in my visual artwork. I bring the discipline and training of my fine art degree to my design work - striving to make each piece of jewelry a little work of art that you will love wearing every day.”
Shop policies
MoondanceArt Jewelry is made of quality metals, gemstones, and findings from reputable dealers world-wide. Unless noted, earwires are .925 sterling silver or 14K gold-filled. I use recycled metals when possible.; I do not use base metals (like nickel) or plated metals. Stones and pearls will be described as they have been represented to us by my dealers. I am very partial to US mined and cut stones. All components are handcrafted from sheet or wire - unless described otherwise - using traditional metal smithing techniques.
I add care instructions and material with each purchase so that your jewelry will stay looking like new as long as possible.
Created in a smoke-free shop following Covid 19 precautions. Jewelry is clean and unworn when sent to you.

Frequently asked questions
Will my jewelry tarnish?
The short answer is "maybe." Sterling silver is 7.5% copper. Copper is the element that interacts with the air and "oxidizes" which we call tarnish. Most of the air we breathe has sulphur in it which also contributes to tarnish. If exposed to the air long enough, most sterling silver and copper will tarnish. Also, some people have a personal body chemistry that causes a tarnishing reaction in metal. To slow the action of oxidation, my silver jewelry is polished then given a coat or two of Renaissance Wax. I include a polishing cloth and detailed wear and care instructions that will tell you how to keep your piece looking like new. Key to this is using a polishing cloth and placing jewelry in a small zip-lock bag after every wearing.
