The beautifully made quilt was carefully packaged and shipped in less than two days of my ordering even though it needed a hanging sleeve added before it could be shipped. Soap for washing it and care instructions were included. I am very pleased with the quiltmaker's work and would recommend her without reservation.

About

Always sewing or thinking about quilts...

I opened my Etsy shop after my home began filling up with finished and unfinished quilts. I became an almost obsessive compulsive quilter after breast cancer therapy in 2002, though I have always had a fabric fascination. My preference is to use rich, bright colors in my projects. most of which are bed-sized quilts. I've more recently been making smaller wall hangings and pillow covers.

My first attempt was before the advent of rotary cutters and such modern helpful tools. It took me 10 years to finish that first quilt. But it was a busy time, raising my daughter and son and working full time.

I make the highest-quality home-made quilts from cotton fabrics. I quilt them myself on my home sewing machine or a rented longarm. They are truly heirloom quality items and make great gifts, whether for a wedding, anniversary, graduation, or just to cuddle under. If you see an item you like but want in other colors, please contact me. I'm willing to make customized items. Thanks for stopping into my shop!

If you'd like to see some of my other pieces, I have a Flickr account under http://www.flickr.com/photos/moosecarolquilts/ where I have posted some of my UFO's and works in progress, as well as photos of some pieces I've given away.

I was born and raised in Utah, where Home Economics was an expected class for girls in middle and high school. (Though I also took Shop and Drafting). So I have sewn for many many years, mostly on the 1950's vintage Pfaff my Dad bought for my Mom

Shop policies

Last updated on April 19, 2016
Welcome to my policies page. My quilts are all made in my home. It's a smoke-free environment, but I do own two dogs. I make every effort to ship a clean quilt, washed and lint-rolled to remove pet hair and odd threads.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
  • Other Method
Payment
I prefer to be paid through Etsy Direct Pay or PayPal, which accept credit card payments. If you need another method of payment, such as installments, please convo me.
Idaho residents will be charged 6% sales tax. Tax will be added during checkout.
Shipping
My shipping fees are for USPS Priority Mail. I insure all my packages and add tracking. Because of the value of the parcel, I require a signature confirmation on my quilts valued over $100. Items valued less than $100 will have tracking and delivery confirmation only.

Please note that buyers are responsible for any and all duties and customs charges that may be incurred.
Refunds and Exchanges
Because my items are one of a kind, I am unable to exchange. I insure all quilts shipped, so if there is damage in transit, I will refund through PayPal once the item is returned to me. I make no other refunds or exchanges, because most of my items are one of a kind. I am willing to remake many of my pieces in different fabrics as a custom order. Convo me for more information on custom work.
Additional policies and FAQs
I am willing to make a custom quilt, especially one based on an item I've already made. Please convo me regarding what you want as far as color, size, etc. I will reply with a quote.
