For more bone china ware and stacking porcelain cups visit my other shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/BonesChina too and save on shipping costs.

Welcome to my shop for re-loved and altered antique or vintage porcelain dishware, decorated fine bone china pieces and handmade porcelain jewelry. I combine my knowledge as a professional ceramist with my love to vintage and elegant porcelain, to fairy tales, movies and nursery rhymes, to Victorian and steampunk drawings, to music, to graffiti, to literature, to unique jewelry, to humorous quotes, to surreal art and recycling.

I am always open to create custom orders for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays or any occasion. So feel free to ask:)

Wholesales are unfortunately not possible as the items on which i work are vintage or even antique porcelain items of the 50's, 60's and 70's and therefore unique.
A multiple purchase can be made and a discount will be made on demand.

I upload new work often, so keep checking back.

Just perfect!!! I got this item as an anniversary gift for my nephew and his darling wife (ironically they had dressed up as the characters on the plate for Halloween this year=) It was a great, totally unique gift and they love it. This shop owner is AMAZING to work with. All of her items are beautifully done! It is hard to describe how lovely her work is. She is easy to communicate with, packages her items really well and ships quickly!! I love this shop! I will definitely be back=)

About

Love giving vintage porcelain a new life

Let me introduce myself, i'm Monika and i studied ceramic art in Greece and France in the '80s. I took part in international competitions in France, Germany, Taiwan and Belgium and won 4 prizes. I’m a member of the «Greek Artistic Chamber» since 1992. Works of mine have been bought from “Loehr – keramikmuseum” in Germany and “Taipei Fine arts Museum” in Taiwan. I have had 3 one man exhibitions, and articles about my work can be found among others in the magazines "Ceramics Technical", "Neue Keramik", "Ceramics, Arts and Perception" and the "Dictionary of the Greek Artists". I have been working for some decades with stoneware and raku materials and firings.

Since 2000 i have been experimenting with printing techniques on my handmade ceramic pieces. As the images became more and more complicated the necessity to find cleaner surfaces became also stronger. So I started transferring my images on vintage porcelain cups 6 years ago and here i am today surrounded by vintage dinnerware, recounting the fairy tales, movies of my childhood but also steampunk and humorous images on soup tureens, cups, plates, serving platters, teapots and recently on dinner serving and tea sets. I am very happy to be able to share my creations with you even if you are living on the other end of the world, thanks to the internet.

Thanks to my long experience as a ceramist, i am able to transfer my images on the porcelain and bone china pieces and stabilize them by firing them after application on a high temperature, making the images permanent and the items safe for everyday use. My pieces could be washed in a washing machine, but it's better to avoid doing so because of the golden rims that would eventually fade.

Feel free to contact me with any custom orders or questions you may have. I love creating unique, personalized and special gifts for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays or any occasions. On that basis i have had the honor to be commissioned to create Mary Poppins and Bert themed cups for a big event organized on the 16th of July 2015 on Disneyland Drive, Anaheim with guest star the Hollywood legend, 5 Time Emmy Winner, Grammy and Tony winner Dick Van Dyke (the actor who embodied Bert in the "Mary Poppins" movie).

I would like to include here a review written by a very dearest client from Canada:
"This is a whimsical tea set that I have the pure delight in using on a daily basis. Not only does it have both beauty and function, I had the joy of designing it with Monika--a glorious spirit who authentically embodies the soul of an artist; she is one who fully appreciates that childhood memories of fairy tales and nursery rhymes can forever remind us that hope, magic, and beauty surround us, but our eyes must be open to appreciate it.
