So hard to find cute tye dye gowns for babies. These was adorable!!!
Two grateful kids with an agenda.
We started doing tie dyes in the spring of 2011. We both had a love for tie dye and a need for some new digs. We began with a couple dozen shirts and it turns out we had a knack for it. Two years and dozens of shirts later, we still love the art of it all. We'd like to mention that our tie dyes are all hand made by us and we have yet to stitch a single tie dye, EVER. We don't paint or batik either. Our work is all folded and put onto the fabric with bottles of dye. 100% traditional tie dye. Dying fabric is one of the oldest trades out there. We want to revive the tradition with the younger people. We strive to create things you haven't seen before and blowing your mind is likely our first goal. :) The thing about tie dye is, even if you do your best to create another one just like a previous one, it's not going to be exactly the same. Tie dye is one of a kind, wearable art. (beware of computer prints, they can duplicate.) Each of our shirts are unique, not just because we make it by hand and cannot duplicate, but because we try to mix it up a little bit. We offer variety and enjoy the challenge of a custom order.
Sam and Natalie
We met at a Darkstar show at the Orange Peel. We married 6 months after meeting. After being married for a year we began this journey of textile transformation, which was in 2011. Our love of the art drew us into creating our own.
