MorShoda - My world of colors, fashion and culture. A mix of nations

My name is Nayya More-Shoda, I am 39 years old, married to Feroze and a proud mother to 2 adorable daughters - Asia and Sofia.
I am a fashion designer by profession, I love to travel the world, taste new food, listen to music, sing out loud, dance, cook, bake and I am MAD about fashion and style!

I have started my artistic path in 2003 and studied fashion design while focusing on evening and wedding dresses. I was living and breathing fashion and waited to start my own business, but unfortunately, the universe had other plans for me.

In 2004, I visited a good friend in India. I spent two months with her and then continued my tour of this fantastic country. I arrived in Pushkar, where I met my future husband - Feroze. He insisted I drink daily Chai with him, but I was playing hard to get ;) Eventually, I did agree to have tea with him, and on that day he said to me "you will be my wife!". "Me?" I responded and burst out with laughter.
Since then, we became an inseparable couple. I returned home to finish my studies and then moved to India to work with him in his local handmade purse business.
Eventually, we decided to move to Israel where we started our own business. Feroze left everything and everyone in the name of love! ;)
At first, we imported Feroze's bags to Israel only to realize they were not the "Israeli taste!"
I hated my accessory design course at college, but I wanted to find a way to make this work. I started thinking of my own line of bags and designing my style, which combined the beauty of India and the Israeli taste, and soon our business expanded quickly - I fell in love with it!

My style is very colorful, cheerful, practical and chic - a fusion of classic and vintage.
I am always looking to improve my designs and making them fashionable and functional while keeping them at an affordable price.

India inspires me! I am inspired by the 70s style, the Bohemian Era and the colors and handcraft of India - something I saw while walking in the streets (I even have a bag inspired by a grocery shopping bag!) and visiting various exhibitions and museums.

Every one of my items is unique and one-of-a-kind, as no two items are alike. Each bag/accessory, cushion cover embroidery or carpet starts with a draft followed by a drawing of design or a number of drawings until I feel it is just right!

Every item is designed by me and handmade. I am very grateful that the less fortunate women and men in Kashmir are given the opportunity to help me with my work so they can make a good living.

Every stitch is carefully made with a lot of attention, detail, and passion - I love my work, and I want every one of my customers to love and enjoy it as well.
My goal is for MorShoda to become a global but unique bag and accessory business, offering one-of-a-kind designs with a special touch - India’s Haute Couture - at an affordable price for everyone!

I am inviting you into my world of colors, fashion and culture - a mix of nations.
Thank you for supporting handmade!

Nature of Handmade Items

Due to the nature of a handmade item, variation and suppleness of leather, no two MorShoda bags are the same. As part of our vintage style, we hope you will embrace these variations as part of the bags charm.
We have tried to show this natural variation in our product images by limiting the use of photoshop editing and providing a high-resolution zoom. We hope that this allows you to make more of an informed choice when browsing our collection.

Care Instructions - Leather

MorShoda bags and wallets are made with the finest leathers and are carefully chosen. Every spot or mark on the leather indicates it's authenticity and add to the final charm of the design.

Nappa leather - From time to time, apply a regular leather cream with a sponge into the bag, this helps moisturizing and cleaning the leather.
Suede leather - Use a soft furniture brush or a dedicated leather sponge to clean your bag.

Our products are water resistant but not waterproof.
DO NOT wash your leather bag/wallet in water or in a washing machine.
If the product got wet, allow it to dry in a shaded place.

Care Instructions - Textile

MorShoda's textile products are made of natural cotton fabrics and are decorated with embroidery by Kashmir artists using pure wool cords which are colored in a unique process according to the design. This process takes about 1-6 months per unit.

You can wash all textile items by hand in cold water only or dry cleaning.
