5 out of 5 starsThis mini kokedama is just wonderful. I was on the fence on which one to get and contacted Merie about the little oakling option as there were no pictures. Merie promptly sent me a photo to help me decide. The package arrived swiftly and also came with a little string and sticker so I could wrap it as a gift for my friend :)

About Moskabouter
Moskabouter, creative by nature.
Moskabouter (which you can translate to 'moss gnome' in the Dutch language) stands for combining creativity and playfulness with nature, and was established by its founder Merie Limin, who is a person of small stature herself and who loves to create wonderful things with moss. With her company Moskabouter Merie strives to share the fun, relaxation and connection with nature that she experiences from being creative with moss. This is why Moskabouter wants to go further than offering finished products only: she also offers do-it-yourself-kits and organizes workshops and other group activities centered around being creative with moss. So keep an eye on the webshop because there's more coming :-)

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between Moskabouter's moss decorations and a living moss wall / plant wall?
A living moss wall or plant wall is beautiful, but asks for a lot of maintenance to keep it beautiful as well. Because Moskabouter uses preserved plants, there is no need to water them or to place them in sun light. Next to that, there is no need to worry about any watering systems, water leakages, pest control, grow lights or fertilization either.
Does the moss and other plants still grow?
All the plants used, including the moss, are preserved and do not grow anymore. The volume of the plants therefore stays stable.
Custom and personalized orders
Moskabouter happily accepts custom and personalized orders. Just send a message to Merie with your question and Moskabouter will share the possibilities with you.
Are preserved plants pet safe?
Although preserved plants are not toxic when ingested, they are not suitable for consumption. Therefore the safest thing to do is to keep the plants out of reach of your pets.
Care instructions
If you want to optimally enjoy Moskabouter's products, it is important to:- Not water the preserved plants or place the preserved plants in high humidity areas (such as the bath room).- Not place the preserved plants in direct sun light (indirect sun light is ok).- Not place the preserved plants near any heat sources.- Place the preserved plants indoors only.
Gift wrapping and packaging
All products are carefully packaged to make sure that they arrive unharmed. When very delicate items such as kokedamas are being shipped internationally, its sturdy packaging is packaged into another box filled with recycled or recyclable materials (cardboard, paper and recycled bubble wrap), which minimizes any chance of damage during shipping.
Are there any other costs if I want to have your item shipped to my country?
For a few countries or states (outside the EU) it is possible that Moskabouter needs to arrange a phytosanitary certificate (PC) for preserved plants/moss, which could cost up to 60 euros for each consignment, to guarantee that the products go through the customs of your country/state. A PC is at least needed for: Australia, Japan, Indonesia, India, China, Russia, Brazil, South Korea. If you want to make sure whether you need Moskabouter to arrange the phytosanitary certificate, don't hesitate to just send a message. Moskabouter would happily sort it out together with you :-) Please note, that there is still the possibility of any other local costs involved at the customs of your country for products containing preserved moss/leaves.
Do you ship your products to my country?
Moskabouter ships to many countries worldwide, often this can be shipped without having to arrange a phytosanitary certificate. Products can be shipped to at least all EU-countries (including Germany and France), USA and Singapore. Please send a message if you'd like to know whether Moskabouter ships to a country that is not mentioned here.
