Announcement    Welcome to MOTH & TWIG! Geometric and nature inspired mosaic art jewelry. Each piece is meticulously hand-crafted using globally and locally sourced materials. Since each piece is handmade by me, every piece is unique.

Many years ago during a month long impromptu jaunt to Barcelona, I fell in love with the architecture and mosaic work of Antoni Gaudi. Upon returning to the states I embarked on a quest to learn the art of mosaic. Over the years I learned from some of the best mosaic artists around. At the same time, I was also learning the art of jewelry making. I decided to combine the two arts so I tried my hand at miniature mosaic. I was instantly hooked!

I use a variety of tesserae including ceramic tile sourced directly from Morocco, stained glass, various Italian glasses, found objects, and really, just about anything I can get my hands on that looks interesting. For me, the challenge and joy is in creating patterns in small spaces. Piece by piece, using tweezers, picks, nippers, and rubbing stones, the materials undergo a metamorphosis. My work is a nod to traditional micro-mosaic, albeit with a contemporary twist.

Happy shopping!

Handcrafted unique mosaic art jewelry

Welcome to MOTH & TWIG!

I love mosaic arts. I love nature. I love the two together! Why choose to wear mosaic art? Because you like art, color, design, and you're not afraid to stand out...in an artsy and sophisticated way. Perhaps because you are drawn to the marriage of art and nature, quality materials, and fine craftsmanship, along with knowing that the piece you choose was truly made with joy, thoughtfulness, and fun.

I have been creating mosaics for over a decade. A few years I ago I fell in love with creating miniature mosaics which transitioned to mosaic jewelry; art you can wear! I am influenced by nature and also strong graphic images.

June happily spends her time in the studio while I tend to marketing, photography, and of course, loading and unloading the car when she has shows/fairs. I love helping with the marketing aspects of Moth & Twig.

International orders:
When a package ships internationally, it may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and/or fees imposed (e.g. handling fees) by the destination country. These charges are typically due once the package arrives in the destination country. The buyer is responsible for paying the additional costs such as duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees. These charges can vary widely and are often based on the price and type of item, package weight and dimensions, origin country, and the taxes, duties, and fees of the destination country. We unfortunately can’t predict which of these fees, if any, will be applied, and Etsy doesn’t expect sellers to calculate or collect these fees or taxes.

Etsy isn’t responsible for any additional charges that may apply after a purchase is completed on Etsy.
Additional policies and FAQs
Mosaic jewelry should not be placed for extended periods of time in water due to the materials used. Also, do not use harsh cleaners or dips that could damage or compromise the grout or adhesives used in your jewelry piece. Finally, take care when handling pieces with stained glass. Though I have made every effort to soften stained glass edges, please keep in mind that the glass can still have sharp curves or edges.
