Mother Makings is expanding!

At its heart Mother Makings is a small Mompreneur business that believes in sustainability and resourcefulness.

This is leading us to expand our offerings by teaming up with several amazing production partners to bring you new high quality products.

Print-on-demand is a new business model that is far less wasteful than traditional fast fashion and allows designers to create original designs and then to sell a journal or a shirt or a mug with those designs on them.

This is very sustainable because only the people who love that product will be creating them through their purchase. In this way, there will not be tons of last seasons over supply ending up in the trash.

Mother Makings is stepping into this world while fulfilling it’s founder’s long-time desire to sell her original art as prints, sketch journals, journals, logbooks, planners, organic baby clothes, stainless steel drinkware and other high quality products.

Our amazingly emollient tallow skin care products and magical handcrafted spiral talismans are still near to our heart. For these products we still follow these principles:

-We source local 100% grass-fed beef tallow from Hickory Nut Gap Farm® in Fairview, NC, USA (https://www.hickorynutgapfarm.com/)
-We source only organic ingredients for our nourishing skin care products
-We use only high quality certified organic essential oils, never fragrance oils (which are artificial)
-All of our products are handcrafted in small batches for quality
-We use sustainable and recyclable materials for our product packaging
-We use colored paper, upcycled newspaper, misprinted product labels and their waxy sheets to create our handmade envelopes and padded mailers. We also source eco-friendly compostable recycled boxes from EcoEnclose (https://www.ecoenclose.com/) for larger orders. All of which can be reused.

With our new products we will seek out the most eco-friendly materials for the finished product and packaging as we are able.
