Fine Art in an Old Brick Woolen Mill

I opened a small fine art photography gallery at Cedar Street Studios in Amesbury, Massachusetts (forty miles north of Boston, directly along the seacoast and only twenty minutes from Portsmouth NH and the Maine state line) five years ago. Having solid brick and stone walls and huge old wooden beams and wooden flooring overhead adds real character to this space. In addition to my own photographic images, I have also hung a collection of older railroad images in both black-and-white and color, from New England, New York, and parts of the United States and Canada.

Amesbury's Open Studio Tour Weekend is November 12-13, 2016. This is an annual town-wide artist celebration each November, with most artists' studios open for visits and with several groups of artists having exhibits set up at Amesbury Town Hall, Cedar Street Studios, Artists' Muse, and other locations. It is a really enjoyable weekend, with all exhibits and studios open from 11AM - 4PM; a trolley runs in a circuit to the major locations, so you don't have to drive and park at each spot. Come join us!

Important Note: All profits from sales for November and December 2012 will be donated directly to the Paige Fortin Recovery Fund at The Provident Bank, in Amesbury MA USA. This recent high school graduate suffered a very unfortunate accident on September 15, and this is one of several community funds that have been set up by people in our town to help. Paige worked at Cedar Street Studios this year, as well as at The Flatbread Company in Amesbury, and there is a community-wide effort by businesses in Amesbury to donate profits and by residents to assist with the cost of medical and physical therapy services for Paige.

I exhibit and sell framed fine art photography. Images shown on my website and on Etsy are sold framed and ready to hang in your home or office. Every attempt is made to keep framing costs low while maintaining the highest quality of materials and workmanship. All framed prints are constructed with archival materials and gallery-quality glass. I will pack any print that is to be shipped and I have never had a returned print or a report of damage in the twenty years that I have been exhibiting and selling my artwork. Please contact me immediately, of course, if any issue is found. My website is and more information can be found there.

You can visit my gallery at Cedar Street Art Studios, Studio 111, 14 Cedar Street, Amesbury, Massachusetts 01913. Hours are typically 2-6PM on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, although I do travel frequently and I recommend that you call ahead if planning to visit, at 978 388 0448. I currently am hanging approximately 60 framed images as I write this, including both the types of images that you see shown here and samples from my collection of Historic Railroad Photographs. The Historic Railroad Photographs include images in frame sizes up to 45" in width. My gallery also includes a number of collectible railroad items, which we often call railroadiana, for display purposes and, in some cases, for sale.

Payment may be made using PayPal through my Etsy virtual store, where you are now, or when you come in to pick up your print (if you are local to eastern Massachusetts). I accept cash and checks at my gallery, if you should stop in for a visit. Please expect that printing and framing takes approximately two weeks; at major holidays, the fine folks who do this framing for me often ask for advance notice or a bit more time.
Shipments are made by USPS or United Parcel Service. I will occasionally restate the shipping charges shown in my listings if I find that the cost of a given size has gone either up or down. I do not attempt to recover the cost of my time for packing, or to otherwise make money on shipping charges.

Shipping charges shown are current based on my experience in shipping to the US Midwest in December 2011. Shipping costs shown below include insurance and USPS Priority Mail, to the US Midwest, as an average of current charges. Shipping to an address on the East Coast will be less expensive and I will credit you for the difference from the price quoted (Etsy doesn't give us any other way to handle this).
Refunds and Exchanges
Any savings on shipping cost (as compared to the stated estimates here) will be reimbursed to you by check, mailed to your address.
