If you are reading these lines, it means that you`d like to find out more about my shop.
I`ve been fond of embroidering since childhood, taking it up for over 20 years. My grandpa taught me the first steps in embroidering. Yes, that`s true, my grandpa. He was a Jack of all trades: he could knit, sew, wicker and make earthenware. But embroidering was his greatest interest. And he passed his love to crafts to me. At a certain moment I felt a need not only to embroider someone else`s pictures, but also to let my own fantasies come true.
That is the way the Mr. Moose Design was born. You would ask why this name? We all come from a marvelous Childrenland, where the world is incredibly huge, lovely and colourful and where dreams are unusually sweet, when not only neighbourhood kids were our friends, but also lots of toys dear to our hearts. My favourite one was an old moose called Rudolf. He has come a long way with me and over the years has got a big friendly family. My collection of moose has been growing more and more, so that sometimes my beloved husband was even slightly jealous of them. So, when it came to thinking up the name, I didn`t have much difficulty.
Every cross stitch pattern has its own and quite a long story of creation. Firstly, I have an idea born in my head, an image develops and becomes more distinct. Usually I make some notes of the image or rough sketches in a notebook if it`s possible. Then I choose the most interesting sketches and make more detailed drawings on their basis. I usually draw with colored pencils or paint with watercolour. After that I elaborate an embroidery pattern, using a specialized computer programme and the DMC map of thread colors. And now the most interesting moment comes – I start stitching the pattern. Why do I do that? The thing is that while embroidering I see how the shades of threads interact in reality and if they do tone in with each other. At this stage of pattern creation fairly many changes may be introduced. The reason is that I do my best to share with you exceptionally high quality patterns and make it a pleasure for you to work with them.
I hope that my cross stitch patterns will suit your taste and inspire you to add more colors into your life.
I am a passionate self-employed cross stitch designer, an artist and a crafts lover. I live a 26-hour day, a 377-day year and my head is overwhelmed with ideas. I like to inspire and to be inspired. Thank you for sharing my joy of life.

Frequently asked questions
Do you sell finished embroidered works?
No, I do not sell finished embroidered works. I need them for publicity purposes.
Custom and personalized orders
Unfortunately, I`m too busy to elaborate custom patterns. However, I can make an exception for magazines, books or any other publication. If you would like to publish my pattern, please, write me an e-mail for mr.moose.design (at) gmail.com or a private message on this website.
I saw that someone had put your patterns on the Internet for free access without your permission. What shall I do?
That person has violated my copyright. I will be grateful if you write me a private message or e-mail for mr.moose.design (at) gmail.com with a link to the website where you saw my patterns. And I`ll do my best to withdraw them from illegal access.
What techniques are used in your designs?
The patterns are elaborated using the DMC threads, including metallic ones. Mostly the following techniques are used in my designs: cross stitch, half cross stitch, backstitch and sometimes French knots. In the description of each pattern you can find the used stitches. That`s why even beginners can easily set the difficulty level of a design.
