I got a patchwork quilt with all of my favorite colors, the colors you see in my shop. I also had a great deal of vacant wall space, so I decided to draw some animals with the colors of my quilt. The red bird was the first one I did, which is why it's the logo for my shop.
Not long after I hung some of my animals in my bedroom, a friend of mine with a four year old asked me if I could print some for her. Another friend suggested that I should sell them.
About a year ago, I opened a Redbubble shop just to see if there was any interest. Over a hundred thousand views and several hundred sales later, here I am on Etsy selling my prints directly to you.
The funny thing is, I no longer have the quilt. It only lasted about a year before my dog and cat destroyed it. Those critters are hell on linens.
