At Christine Cheryl Ceramics our main focus is on creating well designed functional kitchen accessories, tableware, and items for the home and garden.
My studio is located on our farm in Bastrop Texas. We are surrounded by vast fields of rotating crops, gardens, groves of trees, creeks, and ponds. This offers an abundance of inspiration in both our designs and collections.
My desire is that our pieces are to be used every day and that it will take the mundane out of creating your family's meals and inspire you to new culinary heights.
I am a one-woman potter and I work in small batches. This allows me to focus on all the small details. You will feel the touch of my hands and throwing rings on finished wares. I believe this adds to the rustic charm of handmade ceramics. No two pieces will ever be exactly alike. Slight variations are to be expected in both glaze and form, a most sought-after quality of handmade pottery.
We use only the finest clays and glazes, making our wares very durable and stylish for today's decor. While they are microwave, dishwasher, and oven safe, we do recommend treating them with care so that they will last a lifetime.

Each piece is thrown on the potter’s wheel and hand-built by me in my home studio located in the beautiful Bastrop Texas. As a studio potter, my work is not massed produced. I make small batches while paying close attention to the details.
With each piece individually made by my own two hands, it will have its own characteristics and personality, ensuring that no two pieces will be exactly alike. Variations to both glaze and form are to be expected and should not be viewed as a flaw, a most sought-after quality in handmade pottery.

Returns and exchange details
All returns must be authorized first, within 3 days of delivery. Returned items must arrive back to me in the original condition (unused and in original packaging). Returns must be sent back within 7 days once authorized.
Shipping on returned items is at the buyer's expense. I am not responsible for damage that occurs to item(s) packed by buyers and strongly suggest shipping with tracking and insurance. If the package is received damaged or is lost, no refund will be given.
Upon satisfactory receipt of the return, I will refund your purchase, minus the cost of the original shipping cost.
I take great care of packing my work but in the event, your item arrives damaged you must contact me immediately. I will request that you take photos of the damaged piece along with the packaging and send it to me via e-mail.
After documentation* is received, you may choose either a full refund including shipping or another item of equal value and equal shipping cost, your choice.
*Documentation may include signing an affidavit confirming the damage or loss and holding onto packaging and damaged item in the event carrier may need to inspect in order to process the claim.
I hope that if this ever happens that you will be understanding so I can rectify the situation. Your satisfaction with our product and service is our number one priority.
All in-stock orders will ship out within one to three days, Monday through Friday after an order is paid in full and payment has cleared.
Because your receipts are available electronically, I do not include them with your purchase.
If payment is not made within 24 hours of placing an order, the transaction will be canceled and the item(s) will be re-posted and made available for others to purchase.
If you need to cancel your order, please do so immediately. Once your package has been mailed, you will be subject to our return policy.
Per state law, if you reside in Texas, sales tax will be added in addition to the purchase price.
Local buyers who wish to arrange a local pickup should use coupon code LOCALPICKUP to avoid being charged shipping costs. I will contact you in an Etsy conversation after your purchase to schedule the pickup.
All custom and personalized orders MUST be paid for, in full, in advance. No work will start until payment has cleared. Custom and personalized pieces typically take 3 - 6 weeks depending on where I am in the production process. There is NO REFUND on custom or personalized pieces.
First Class, Priority Mail, and Overnight Express Mail are the shipping options we offer.
First Class is the standard shipping service through the USPS and normally has a five to seven-day delivery. It will include tracking and insurance.
Priority Mail is an upgraded shipping service through the USPS and has a non-guaranteed two-three day delivery and includes tracking and insurance.
Priority Overnight Express Mail is an upgraded shipping service through the USPS and offers guaranteed delivery of the next day. Prior authorization is required and a handling fee will be charged in addition to the postal price. See below for further details.
During severe weather and the holiday season, non-guaranteed shipping dates given by USPS can increase, please plan accordingly.

Christine Cheryl cannot accept responsibility for any transport delays outside my shop’s control. If I am introducing the delay, I will contact you and work out arrangements.
If you are concerned about receiving a package from us for any reason, Signature Confirmation is available for an additional price. To purchase, once you add an item to your cart and are ready to check out, under 'shipping" there will be a drop-down option where you can choose standard shipping or standard shipping with signature confirmation.
GUARANTEED ~ OVERNIGHT SHIPPING
**NOTIFICATION FOR THIS OPTION IS REQUIRED PRIOR TO PURCHASE**
Priority Overnight Express shipping is available through the United States Postal Service. This is a guaranteed overnight scheduled delivery to most locations, including PO Boxes with delivery 7 days a week in some areas. If this shipping is needed, please contact me PRIOR to making the purchase. I will need the delivery zip code to calculate the additional shipping charge.
***There will be an additional handling fee of $10.00 in addition to the amount of the upgraded shipping.***
If this mailing upgrade is desired, a custom listing will be set up for you and it must be purchased and paid for before the item is mailed.
Bubble wrap and peanuts are used for packaging. Recycled shipping materials are used whenever possible.
If your purchase is a gift, I am very happy to ship directly to the recipient and include a personal note from you. In "Notes to Seller" please state the recipients' address and your sentiments for a complimentary gift card. No invoice or receipt will be included in the package other than your card. If nothing is mentioned in notes to the seller and to avoid delays in shipping, a gift receipt only will be included with no prices on it.
WRONG ADDRESS/UNCLAIMED/RETURN TO SENDER
Please make sure your address on Etsy is correct and up to date. Christine Cheryl Ceramics is NOT RESPONSIBLE for shipping to a wrong address given by the Buyer or where the buyer did not update their Etsy account.
The buyer will be responsible for any additional shipping charges due to an incorrect address, return to sender, expired forwarding orders, or for any other reason relating to an incorrect address on the buyer's part.
If the package is returned to Christine Cheryl Ceramics and Buyer chooses not to pay additional shipping to have the item resent to a corrected address, a refund for the item only will be forthcoming. There will be no refund for the shipping.
In the event the package is not returned to Christine Cheryl Ceramics due to an incorrect address by Buyer, NO REFUND of product or shipping will be forthcoming.
If you want the package shipped to a DIFFERENT ADDRESS you can change the address at checkout.
It is incumbent upon the Buyer to assure all mailing addresses are correct within Etsy and payment options.
Please keep track of your package with the provided tracking. I am not notified if a delivered item never arrived.
If your item's tracking is still showing as undelivered after seven (7) days please contact me so that I can start an inquest with USPS about your package.
If your tracking shows "delivered" but you DO NOT have your item, I require notification within 24 hours of tracking showing delivered. This deadline is so I have the best chance of figuring out what happened with the USPS.
If USPS rules that they did indeed deliver your package to the address given and GPS tracking confirms this I am unable to offer a refund or replacement. Signature Confirmation is available to ensure delivery to you for an additional price.
Please be sure to check for delivery notices under doormats, the bottom of the mailbox, and even neighbors. Often times these situations are a matter of miscommunication or a missed notice of delivery attempt.
PLEASE NOTE: Shipments for which delivery has been confirmed via USPS GPS tracking are not subject to non-delivery claims.
Please note that the United States Postal Service provides a great service at great prices but sometimes there can be delays in shipping and even loss can occur. This does not happen often but it can. Once an item leaves my shop it is completely out of my hands. I hope that if this ever happens to you that you will be understanding and contact me immediately so I can rectify the situation. Your happiness with our product and service is our number one priority.

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY POTTERY?
**CARING FOR YOUR NEW POTTERY**
With proper care and handling, your new pottery will last a lifetime! I only use food safe, lead-free glazes. While hand-washing is typically preferred, my wares are dishwasher and microwave safe. As with all ceramics, avoid extreme temperature fluctuations. For example, never pour boiling hot water into a cold mug. It is recommended that you warm your mug before pouring extremely hot liquids to avoid thermal shock.
DO YOU USE MACHINES TO MAKE YOUR POTTERY?
I make every piece by hand, one by one and therefore, it will have its own characteristics and personality. I use a potter's wheel to make most of my pottery. I use an electric kiln to fire my pottery. I take great pride in making high-quality pieces for you.
WHY IS MY SET OF POTTERY NOT THE SAME, EACH PIECE IS A LITTLE DIFFERENT?
Due to the nature of handmade pottery, slight variations will occur and should be expected in both glaze and form... a most sought-after quality of handmade pottery.
Each throwing session and kiln firing create slightly different form and color results. If you are interested in a set of something, please custom order it and it will all be thrown, glazed and fired together, assuring a better match but they will not be identical.
THE COLOR OF MY VESSEL IS DIFFERENT FROM THE LISTING PHOTO EVEN THOUGH IT'S THE EXACT SAME PIECE, WHY?
Please keep in mind that every computer monitor is calibrated differently. Slight variations in color, tone, and saturation will vary from monitor to monitor.
Pieces that are intended for use in the oven will stand up to 375°F/190°C.
NEVER put under the broiler.
NEVER use over an open flame.
NEVER put a cold pot in a hot oven, simply warm the food up in the vessel - starting with a cold oven.
Thermal shock can crack your pottery.
MICROWAVE AND DISHWASHER SAFETY
Our pottery is microwave and dishwasher safe, but use care and good judgment. Dishes in a dishwasher can bang around and are subject to chemicals and large temperature changes.
Over time pottery may become affected. If you treat your pottery like fine china and it will last you a lifetime.
Delicate pieces should not be put in the dishwasher.
Stoneware bakeware is naturally nonstick so a quick soak will remove any baked on food.
Use of a scrubby pad is not recommended as over time it may scratch the surface.
Christine Chery Ceramics uses lead-free commercial glazes and is food safe. All pottery is fired to over 2100 degrees in accordance to specific clay and glaze specifications and it is vitreous and food safe.
Never use pottery that is cracked or chipped.
