Announcement   Welcome to Muddy Dog Studio...Look around...have fun!! All of my pottery is hand made by me in my studio. The clay, from a local source, is a white low fire clay that lets me be creative with the colors. The underglazes are all lead free. SAFE!!! The glaze, too, is lead free, dishwasher and microwave safe.
I will wrap everything you buy verrrry carefully. If it is a gift, let me know and I can use colorful tissue paper and a ribbon or two.
If you like what you see, but you don't see the exact size or color you're looking for, I can custom make whatever you need.
Thanks for looking.

About

I love playing with clay!

I used to teach ceramics at the local Arts Council. One day I got fed up with repeating myself class after class and decided to poen my own studio. My studio got it's name from the fact that my big dog, Emma, likes to hang out on the cool cement floor in the summer and in the winter, it's tha warmest place in the house. Potters often refer to clay as "mud".....and so the name, Muddy Dog Studio.
My approach is whimsical and loose. Every piece is hand made and hand painted by me alone. No two pieces are identical.
I use throwing and hand building to make the pieces in my shop.
Some pieces are also lithographed using pictures I find. This process is fun but impresise.
So sometimes pieces will have a fingerprint or two.
I will always accept returns, unless a piece is custom made. Usually if a pieceis not in stock, and I need to make it from scratch, it takes about two to three weeks to make and ship.
Every piece is glazed with a food safe clear glaze.
Every piece is dishwasher and microwave safe, as well.

Special Note:
I try to meet your needs as best that I can. I will go to great lengths to make sure you are getting what you are paying for. If you have any complaints, PLEASE lets try to work out a solution before you leave a bad review. Bad reviews only cause confusion. I will try my best to refund your money or make you a new piece. Thanks for checking my shop out.
