Sculptural Objects Shaped by Architecture
MUNDÍ is a Latvian design and fabrication studio creating sculptural objects for contemporary interiors. Our collections are designed to bring character to a space through distinctive forms that feel architectural, bold and carefully considered.
Our approach is rooted in architecture, geometry and more than 18 years of experience in architectural modelmaking and fabrication of custom art pieces, sculptures and decors. This background has shaped the way we work: with close attention to proportion, structure, material and detail. Each object is developed not only as decoration, but as a small piece of spatial design.
Every MUNDÍ object is designed, prototyped and manufactured in-house. Keeping the entire process within our studio allows us to refine forms through physical testing, adjust proportions and surfaces, and maintain control over the finished result—from the first idea to the object that arrives in your home.
We are especially interested in how form interacts with its surroundings. Light and shadow reveal textures, silhouettes change from different viewpoints, and carefully balanced proportions give each piece its presence. Our aim is to create objects that remain visually interesting over time while fitting naturally into thoughtfully designed interiors.
Our manufacturing process is built around digital fabrication and 3D printing. These tools allow us to play with complex geometries, sculptural surfaces and precise details that would be impossible to achieve using conventional methods. For us, technology is not the purpose of the object—it is a means of turning carefully developed ideas into tangible, well-crafted designs.
MUNDÍ is led by Jānis and Lelde. Jānis brings a background in engineering, architecture, modelmaking and prototyping, while Lelde focuses on design direction, refinement and quality. Together, we develop every collection through a shared process of experimentation, evaluation and careful adjustment. From our studio in Latvia, we create distinctive objects for people who value thoughtful design, craftsmanship and interiors with character.
