Quiet About candles made in the rain

Quiet About handmade soy wax candles began as Munio Candela in 2007 in Northern European Latvia.
Founder Ieva Dexter moved to vibrant Portland, Oregon in 2009 to introduce her candles to new audiences and in pursuit of new ideas. She fell in love with the city and its perfect balance of nature and urban sensibilities. Quiet About is the next chapter of Munio Candela U.S. and captures the passionate urban lifestyle with bold materials including cement, wood and glass.

Ieva has a degree in textile art and has worked as a fashion merchandiser, stylist and interior designer, and has a strong passion for capturing moments using everyday lifestyle elements.

Material honesty has always been a defining theme for her work, embracing the imperfections of each material. She pairs challenging materials to capture urban contrast and natural escape.

With object simplicity comes room for creativity and freedom.
