About

Inspiration to re-create with all that we have manufactured.

My shop started in 2008 when I had excess wool material from diaper cover making while I was cloth-diapering two children. I acquired second-hand, high-quality wool sweaters of all types and colors. I re-made the garments into diaper covers, and had enough fabric to make and sell extras. I made a bunch of sales on an auction site. Then, when I learned there was forum especially for my hand-made items, I moved to Etsy!

I get bored easily, and so when the kids where done with diapers, I dropped the diaper-cover making. Besides, I had moved to a tropical island, and locally sourcing used wool wasn't exactly easy. It was t-shirt weather, so I made tarn. The tarn turned into cloth bib-necklaces. I used shells I found on the beach to adorn my cloth necklaces. Then came another move.

Most recently, I have used my long-time passion for collecting and wearing vintage jewelry as inspiration to reconstruct vintage, broken, out-dated, or neglected, but otherwise perfectly good jewelry.

The focus has ALWAYS been recycling, or "upcycling" and re-purposing materials that already exist in the world. So as you visit my shop over the years, you will be sure to always find something new....well, sort of. What will be my next Muse for Reuse?

Welcome and thank you for choosing handmade and repurposed items that have hardly required any new natural resources, besides my own time and labor. Most of my handmade items sewn using mostly repurposed and upcycled materials. Occasionally I will use some of my vintage or inherited threads and notions. Over the years I have been the proud recipient of many an antique sewing basket from friends and relatives who have moved, passed on, or abandoned the hobby. I am having fun putting these things, among others, to practical use.
