Announcement   Welcome to the attic! Most of what you will find here are vintage items that belonged to my grandmother, her mother, her aunt, and even her grandparents. I am also an artist with interests in many mediums (mostly knitting and photography) and am slowly working towards adding more of those items to the handmade section of the shop as I feel compelled to create them.

I'm a strong believer in being kind to the environment, and living a responsible and sustainable lifestyle. I feel strongly that every item we purchase, both for ourselves and as gift for our loved ones, should be chosen with careful consideration of the impact on the environment. Reuse and Reduce first and foremost so that Recycle is the last option. When mailing my items I use and re-use various boxes and materials so my packaging isn't going to be the most beautiful, but this also helps keep me from having to purchase raw materials and in addition my prices stay as reasonable as possible. It's what's inside that's most important and most of my items will have a story attached to them.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have regarding any of the items in my shop. Shipping can vary and I am always happy to get an exact cost for any available item, including shipping multiple items together. I will also ship internationally!

About

Vintage Items with Roots and creating with the 3 important R's (reduce, reuse, recycle!)

I originally opened this shop to sell the many vintage items in my attic. I live in the home that my grandmother's great, great grandparents built and our family roots go deep here. The many fabulous things here were owned by any of five generations of my ancestors. In addition to these vintage items, I also have an increasing number of items that I have lovingly made with my own hands, which include hand knit accessories, handmade ornaments and paper products such as notecards with my photography.

It is important to me to ensure that these items find homes that will appreciate them, and etsy gives me the opportunity to do so. When my grandmother passed away, the thought of having an auction never crossed my mind as I truly enjoy each personal interaction with my customers, knowing that they are making their purchase with a purpose to value the items. It brings me great joy to know that these precious items with their enormous sentimental value are being purchased and shipped to people all over the globe who will find as much joy in them as we have over the years.

The name "Muse In The Attic" came from not only the vintage items in my attic, but in the way that they inspire me in my creative process. And of course, being kind to the environment, I reuse, reduce and recycle as much as possible!

Thank you for taking the time to check out my shop.
