About

Dreaming Real

While I have always been messing about with art and design in various ways since childhood, it was only a few years ago when I became a part of the New York City steampunk community that I decided to move forward with opening my own shop. Being surrounded by so many creative, driven individuals inspired my own wish to bring my ideas to life.

My inspirations range wildly, from the organic warmth of the Arts and Crafts Movement, to the colorful gothic drama of old-fashioned Disney villainesses. I believe quite firmly that beauty is a vital part of a life well lived, so I endeavor to make sure I offer works to fit every budget, as well as a variety of styles.

My materials are purchased either from my local community, or from the wealth of excellent vendors here on Etsy. I love working with Venetian laces, velvet ribbons, feathers, and beads.

Oscar Wilde famously said that we should "be a work of art or wear a work of art". Why not try both?

I'm a self taught artist living with my husband and our cats in New York City. I've been playing with needles and thread since I was a very young girl, and am extraordinarily grateful for the opportunity to share what I love with others.
