Hello My Fellow Bakers!

Coastal Cookies was founded in 2016 as my creative outlet. As my cookie skills began to grow, so did my business, and eventually I found myself leaving my safe/stable full time career to pursue this never ending love of baking and decorating (scary, but SOOO worth it!).

After awhile, I discovered there weren't a lot of great paper shred mixes to choose from for my orders. The cookie world seems to revolve around holidays and seasons - yet it was hard to find cute and colorful paper shred mixes to match at decent prices. So I decided to start making my own paper shred mixes and selling them as well!

You spend so much time making your cookies perfect, you need to package them with the same TLC too! Hopefully my paper shred mixes help you do that!

Sincerely -

Sarah Dewey

Frequently asked questions

Are your Paper Shred Mixes made from FDA food safe paper?

No – However the paper we use IS acid free, FSC and Green Seal certified (responsible forestry and made from a minimum of 30% recycled fibers). Our paper shred is handled using FDA compliant rubber gloves and packaged in FDA compliant plastic bags.

Paper that is truly rated food safe by the FDA is not available in bright enough colors or enough color options (in our opinion) to make all the gorgeous varieties of our Paper Shred Mixes.

If using FDA approved paper shred is a huge concern of yours, we recommend individually packaging your cookies in food safe plastic bags and then displaying them on the shred in your bakery boxes. A lot of fellow bakers already do this to insure a higher level of freshness for each cookie!
