Announcement   We're two women from Nigeria & Ghana with a dream to share our culture with others. Explore your sense of wonder, adventure and love for other cultures with beautiful home goods from West Africa.

As immigrants, travellers and adventurers we've experienced home-sickness, the joy of discovering new cultures and little moments when the unexpected reminds us of home.

And we know that we are not alone. There are many others like us who want to travel and discover other cultures but might not have the time or resources to spend. Or might be living in a different country far away from home.

Come explore other cultures with My Gidan and create your home. Perhaps the bold colors and prints of our throw pillows might remind you of home or a place you'd like to visit or the the times when you've had to be bold and true to yourself.

About

My Gidan, Welcome Home

My Gidan means My Home in the Hausa language of Nigeria. The home and the identity that you create for yourself as a world traveller, a lover of other cultures, an immigrant. Never feeling quite at home anywhere but also at home everywhere.

As two female African immigrants, we understand this feeling well. We're two women from Nigeria & Ghana with a dream to share our culture with others. That's why we started My Gidan. Come explore West Africa with My Gidan and create your home.
