About MyLittlestBlessings

Sales 652
On Etsy since 2013

I create lifelike baby dolls for collectors worldwide.

My love of reborn dolls was born in 2006 when I was looking for a lifelike baby doll for my daughter as a gift. Soon after, curiosity got the better of me and I started to learn the art of reborning. From 2007 to 2017 my artistic abilities grew and making dolls became my hobby and part time obsession. It was also a way for me to escape from anxiety episodes that started late in 2008 due to a traumatic experience.

I have PTSD with transient disabling anxiety disorder and I know that it is God that gives me the strength to live my life. I am so thankful that He has given me this work. I was forced to retire from my full time job in 2017 due to an exacerbation of PTSD that left me totally incapacitated. I was unable to leave my home, drive, or work. My job was a 90 minute commute each way and I was unable to drive myself across town much less that far away.

I took medical leave to try to get myself into a better place mentally and physically. I didn't want to leave my work. I had held the position of Clinical Internship Director at a Therapeutic Massage Campus for almost five years. Finally, after many long months of intense therapy and behavior modification, slowly my life started to come back into focus. My care provider made the assessment that returning to my job would undoubtedly cause a relapse. During the time of my treatment, my doll work was a part of my therapeutic practice. I found so much peace creating dolls during the time of my debilitation. It was the one thing I could do that brought me joy and a sense of normalcy. This translated into my becoming a full time artist. I am so thankful that I am able to do this work. And I believe in my heart that the trauma and PTSD relapse two years ago was part of God's plan that has brought me into a better place in my life and I am so very thankful.

This will result in the immediate shipment of the order unfinished. If the buyer then wishes to have their baby completed they will need to mail the baby back to My Littlest Blessings. The customer is responsible for shipping both ways.

What are the terms & conditions of purchase?

1. Processing time BEGINS when I have received the blank kit & materials for your purchase.
