How it all started ?
I have been always in love with natural medicine. Falling asleep with herbal tea or smelling sage essential oil during a stressful day at work was always fascinating to me. I wondered, "how come barely any people know about the power of traditional medicine"?
But this is not how it started. When I was 13 years old, I used to suffers from furunculosis (big boils on your body and face). To get rid of them, I used to use some random ointments prescribed by my doctor or surgery. One time, I got a big, swollen bump without any pus on my eyebrow. My grandma and I went to a doctor (once again) where he said: "We have to do a surgery in order to reduce the swelling". Once my grandma heard that she just said "Okay thank you" and we left. She didn't want me to have a scar on my eyebrow, so we went to her 70-year-old friend, a retired surgeon who recommended making an ointment with olive oil, beeswax, and egg. Within several days and regular compresses, my bump was completely gone. It was like a miracle that I didn't believe in until it was gone.
Ever since the magic ointment has been part of our family tradition.
