Announcement It's time to bid our friends and supporters a fond farewell, as MyPalPeppy will be closing up shop indefinitely at the end of 2015. It's been a tough decision, but the time has come. I cannot thank you all enough! In addition to helping Peppy get vital surgery on his legs when he was younger, each sale has supported small dog rescue efforts, so your patronage has been deeply appreciated.

A Young Dog with Old Legs
My Pal Peppy is my second Etsy shop. (My other shop is MelmacParadise.)
I originally opened the shop with the goal of earning enough money to pay for much-needed surgery on Peppy's back knees. Even as a puppy, his wobbly legs kept him from being as active as he would have liked, and within a few years, he'd developed serious arthritis issues. Surgery was the only answer.
Thanks to generous Etsy customers, my husband's selling of a valuable ham radio to raise the remaining funds, and a terrific young vet who offered to perform the surgery for a price I could afford, Peppy had his knees repaired. He's now a sedate and healthy mliddle-aged dog with a full, peaceful life. God is good.
MyPalPeppy supports animal rescue efforts in the Pacific Northwest. 15% of the purchase price of every item sold goes to Displaced Pets Rescue, helping provide veterinary care and adoption fee assistance to small breed dogs needing stable, loving new homes. You can read more here:
I love vintage, I love animals, and it's so much fun to join the two interests in this one little shop. I continually meet wonderful people through Etsy!
(The lovely portraits of Peppy and his best buddy Wickham which you see on the shop banner and avatar were custom painted for me by a wonderful fellow Etsian, Julene Baker-Smith. I cannot recommend her work or her shop highly enough! I hope you'll visit her shop:)

Owner, Maker, Designer, Chief Skivvy, Dog Mom, And Grandma
I reside in Washington state, where I live with my husband (35+ years) and where we raised and homeschooled our 4 children. Now I am a grandma and, of course, a pom mom!
Shop Mascot And Inspiration
Peppy is a blessing and (literally!) an answer to prayer. He is my dear, loyal friend, for whom I praise and thank God daily.
Public Relations And Chief Morale Officer
Mr. Wickham....What would we do without him? Delightful, happy, curious, friendly Wickham... This boy is a treasure!
This little gal is the youngest and smallest of the poms, but like any good female, she knows how to boss the guys.
Proceeds from this shop help pay for Peppy's medical treatment, so your order is deeply appreciated and will receive careful attention, pretty packaging, and shipping as fast and fair as we can make it. We take returns, too, if you're not happy with your purchase. And of course, we combine shipping.
And please check out our other site, Melmac Paradise, for a wider variety of vintage items, right here at Etsy: www.etsy.com/shop/melmacparadise
Accepted payment methods
- Accepts Etsy gift cards
- Money Order
- Other Method
Unless you ask me specifically, I ship by the most economical method for your location. I also refund shipping if I have overcharged by $1.00 or more. Orders purchased through PayPal usually come with tracking numbers and delivery confirmation.
International shipping is available for most items, but do be aware that I can't guarantee safe arrival of your order once I've posted it. Insurance is only available internationally if I ship priority mail, and that is a good deal more expensive than a first class parcel. Please let me know if that's what you want. Also, about customs--orders will be correctly designated as "merchandise" and not "gift". Any fees or taxes are the buyer's responsibility.
In the U.S.A. insurance is optional unless otherwise noted in the item description. I package very carefully, and so far, haven't had any breakage or items going astray. (See feedback for Melmac Paradise.)
