About

One Women Show!

My journey as an artist began in 2010 when I started to paint. My paintings are mostly surreal. Some of my admired artists are: Vincent Van Gogh, Picasso, Michael Snow, William Kernick, Henry Moore, Robert Motherwell, Katherine Munn, and Paul Klee. I like stories and so my paintings too tell a story. In film, scenes are captured in frames. They do not necessarily take on meaning at first glance but there are many interpretations; this is what I like about the Arts.

To begin with, I started making jewellery because I couldn't find affordable jewellery I liked. I also didn't want to wear what everyone was wearing. I wanted one-of-a-kind.

I started collecting a wide range of beads that I think have artistic value. I started fooling around with the beads and materials I collected and assembled them into creative and interesting pieces.

Jewellery making is my current obsession in terms of artistic expression. I too have created while inspired by visual artists like Van Gogh, Moore, and Picasso. My jewellery takes on different shapes, textures, and colors. The pieces are sometimes bold but they are sometimes delicate. They can be loud or quiet.

All my jewellery possess the element of movement but some also create sounds.

I'm really enjoying this journey so far. I hope that my jewellery may bring joy and interest to artists at heart!
