I love the look of this print and was so excited to hang this in our playroom. I had the print custom framed upon receipt and was thrilled... until I realized that three of the capitals are misspelled (as Clover, Delaware; Colombus, Ohio; and Bismark, North Dakota). Such egregious errors, particularly for educational art, are unacceptable. I immediately reached out to the store owner, who offered to refund the purchase or send me a new poster but was not willing to cover the reframing/mounting fee for the new poster (totaling about $35) that I would incur as a direct result of their mistake. While I understand that covering those expenses would have eaten their profit on my order, I also believe that when you make such a mistake, you should be willing to correct it fully rather than force customers to incur additional expenses.

Item shipped on time. I do wish the countries were in larger print.
A quest for global awareness
Rebecca Peragine, artist and mother, began her business, Children Inspire Design, seven years ago. She started by making recycled collage art for her children. Others discovered her talent and her career as an artist began. Over the years she has expanded her line to include personalized and unique maps with meaning. She opened a sister business four years ago, Fresh Words Market, which sells inspirational typography digital art print. Rebecca creates the pieces (or if collaborated, credit is stated), photographs the work, prints the images and sells the prints. The line has naturally developed as her work has became more popular. Children, kindness, compassion and nature are the themes of her art.
Kindred Sol Collection was born out of a desire to showcase amazing textiles and design around the world. And it also encapsulates Rebecca's perpetual wanderlust and desire for adventure through a series of surf and coastal photography, globally inspired wall art and inspiring typography prints.
A very important part of our story is our commitment to social giving. We donate a percentage of proceeds to women and children-focused initiatives around the world. We believe art can not only tell a positive story about humanity and lift one's spirit, but it can have a tangible impact in the world through social action.
Around the web
I am the artist behind www.childreninspiredesign.com and www.freshwordsmarket.com. Kindred Sol Collective is my dream materialized - to create a cohesive home decor collection inspired by global textiles, the sea and uplifting words.
