Love this sign. Beautiful and well crafted. Received timely and I really am thankful that the seller donates 1/2 of proceeds to a worthy charity and brings attention to human trafficking and abduction.

About

This is what MY Yes looks like...

My Yes…

What do modern-day abolitionists look like? Well, here is the story of one ordinary mom who said, “Yes” to God and “Yes” to freedom…

Hi, I’m Carrie. I am a wife, a mom of three, a lover of God, family, good friends, good food, sweet tea, and hazelnut coffee. I love the power of healing and restoration in Scripture, being creative, decorating and buying with a purpose. I started making signs out of pallets as a creative outlet and was encouraged by friends and family to start selling them. While I didn’t feel confident enough to take that leap, the encouragement just kept coming. I was reading a book by Lysa TerKeurst called, What Happens When Women Say Yes to God? I started wondering if my lack of confidence was really fear… Ugh…fear… I have battled elements of fear for as long as I can remember! I hate it! Fear has kept me from trying new things, from enjoying what is happening all around me and often from saying “Yes” to the best that God has planned for me. Do you know that feeling? I could write a book, haha!

In the instances I have leaned on the Lord and He has helped me say yes to stepping out of my comfort zone in faith, the ride has been incredible and the ripple effect on my life and the lives of others has been astonishing! Homeschooling my kids, a trip to SE Asia, a new baby that has filled our lives with incredible joy, and our family moving from Michigan to Atlanta, are just a few scary things I’ll mention... Instead of constantly allowing my fear to say “No” to so much around me, I have been challenged to say, “Yes! Yes, Lord, where you lead, I will follow!” Will you join me in saying, “Yes” to whatever God is speaking to you today? Yes to joy, yes to praise, yes to being still and allowing Him to speak to you, yes to fun and adventure and flexibility… And close to my heart, yes to freedom…

In 2013, my family’s eyes were opened to the fact that there are over 27 million men, women and children trapped in modern-day slavery worldwide today. That number rocked my world. That is NOT ok! Our family started looking for ways to join the fight against this atrocity. My daughter inspired me by starting Dance 4 Freedom – Atlanta, a way to use her passion for dance to spread awareness and do fundraising for a local organization called Out of Darkness that rescues women off the streets of Atlanta and then helps them in the restoration and healing process.

The ultimate purposes behind My Yes… are to get Scripture into homes to encourage, heal, and inspire people and to bring freedom and healing to those who have no voice. Half of all sales will go to organizations like Out Of Darkness who are fighting on the front-lines to end modern-day slavery and rescue those trapped in it.

Your purchase will help rescue innocent people from the tragic grip of slavery. Please say, “Yes” with me today!
