I absolutely love these old vintage brass castings ;-) With all of the patina & age spots they are glorious !!! What a great grouping with the tiny ones & the larger ones! Birth of a Vintage Shop

My shop unofficially started when my Yiayia passed away about 19 years ago. I inherited all of her things, including clothing, shoes and housewares. The majority of the housewares I use to this day, but the clothing and shoes were another story. I simply could not fit into any of it and never would be able to. I could not bear to part with any of it, but keeping it was starting to seem silly. There finally came a day a few years ago that I finally accepted the fact that I would have to start eliminating some of her things. I listed some slips and shoes and things and they started selling, much to my surprise. People were delighted with the condition and quality of Yiayia's things. Most buyers promised to get lots of use out of her things and some even mentioned wanting to pass such great pieces onto their daughters.

At the time I had been laid off and I found that through Etsy I could at least make enough money to pay bills and sort of get by. Etsy continues to be my sole source of income. I am about become a first time mom. By running my Etsy shop I am going to be able to be a stay at home mom a well as contribute, financially, to my family.

When you make a purchase from me, you are helping to pay the mortgage and to put food on the table. Thank you for helping me achieve my dreams.

I have expanded to selling things of my mom's from the 60's as well as some of my own things from my 80's childhood. I have done so well, that I have begun listing items for friends and family who have fallen on hard times.

This is my online sales shop of wonderful (sometimes wonderfully tacky) vintage things. I love all things vintage and thought it was about time to share my hobby with the world. <3

I want to make your experience here wonderful, so please convo me with any questions you might have. Convo me also with special requests. I may have exactly what you are looking for or may be able to find it.

Payment is expected immediately after purchase. If for some reason you cannot pay immediately I require that you convo me when you purchase and let me know when you will pay. If you do not do this, I reserve the right to cancel the transaction and re-list the item.
Please note, all shipping charges are the responsibility of the buyer. I will not hand deliver any item. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.


I ship to the address provided by buyers through Etsy. If you would like me to send to a different address, please send me a convo or indicate the address in the notes to buyer section before checkout. Please realize, I tend to package and ship, generally within 24 hours of purchase. It is your responsibility to make sure I am shipping to the correct address. If for any reason, your item ships to the wrong address, I will do what I can to make sure it gets to the correct address. If you provide a wrong address, you are responsible for shipping costs to the correct address. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.


If you item is lost in the mail, I will do everything in my power to help hunt it down. (Go to the post office to inquire, make phone calls to try to hunt it down, etc.) If something goes wrong and your item was insured, I am happy to open a claim for you so you are refunded.

If your item is lost in the mail, I am in no way liable, nor will I refund your money. I keep excellent records and I can prove when your item went out.
If you choose to file a claim against the postal service, I will be more than happy to assist you in this.

If you are very worried about your item, please ask for insurance before you purchase. I will gladly make adjustments to your shipping costs. Paying for insurance is the buyer's responsibility.

I try to ship most items priority. Priority now covers tracking as well as $50 of insurance.

If you want to check on if your item will ship priority, do feel free to convo me and I will be happy to let you know!

If your package comes back to me, unfortunately, I will have to re-charge you to ship again. With my previous policy, I was covering shipment if a package came back to me and it was costing me quite a lot. I am sorry for any inconvenience and I thank you for your understanding.


I ship all over the world! If you are not in the USA, please convo me and I can check out how much it would cost to ship to you.

Please realize that if you are an international buyer and choose First Class shipping for your item, and something goes wrong (it gets lost in the mail/never arrives/takes forever to arrive, etc.) I have no course of action. If you would like to inquire about priority/insurance options for international shipping, do not hesitate to ask. First Class is of course more affordable, however your shipping option is completely up to you.

I will ship your item just as soon as the payment clears.

If you want to combine shipping on more than one item, please ask me BEFORE you purchase and item. I would be more than happy to adjust the cost for you.

You are responsible for ALL shipping charges. If the item you have ordered is fragile, ask me about shipping insurance. All items are packed snugly and safely.
Refunds and Exchanges
Unfortunately, I do not accept returns. I do my best to describe the my pieces and take accurate pictures of them. Please convo me and ask about any item you have questions about or are concerned about.

Please note, I sell vintage items that can be fragile. If your item breaks while you are wearing or using it, I am not liable nor will I refund you your money. Please feel free to convo me about this if you have any question.

I will also not cancel orders unless there is an issue of non-payment.

If you get the wrong item (highly unlikely) I will correct the error.

If your item is lost in the mail, I will NOT refund your money, however I will do my best to find it for you. (See the section on shipping.)
Additional policies and FAQs
I must ask that buyers please do not convo me for price breaks or reduction of prices. I am sincerely trying to pay bills with the money I make from Etsy, not get rich. I am also selling items for friends and family members who have fallen on hard times and need the money. I feel that my prices are reasonable. The best I can offer you is combined shipping on multiple items purchased at once. If I am willing to accept offers on a particular item, it will say so in the listing. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

A bit about reserving Items. I am more than happy to reserve an item for you. However, recently, I have had buyers request to reserve items, only to back out at the last moment, each with a wilder story about why they could not purchase than the last. (This has happened with at least the last 10 people who have requested to reserve an item.) While I understand that things do come up and do happen and that money is tight, this is not fair to other buyers or to me. To save time as well as hassle, I have some new policies regarding reserves.

1. You must pay (through PayPal) 20% of the item's price. This 20% will be put towards the purchase. However, this 20% is non refundable. If you have questions about this please ask. If you do not wish to put down 20%, then I cannot reserve an item for you. No exceptions.
2. You MUST tell me when you plan to purchase the item you have reserved.
3. If you cannot purchase the item by the date you have selected, please let me know.
4. If you do not purchase the item by the date you have given me, I will contact you. If I do not hear back from you, I will open the listing up to other buyers.

If you purchase an item that has been reserved for another buyer, I will unfortunately have to cancel the transaction and refund your payment.

Lastly, on the subject of reserved items, I must please ask, if you really do not intend to purchase the item, please do not ask me to reserve it for you. My time, as well as your time, is precious. I have had too many buyers promise to buy something by a certain date, and then not buy it, with the promise to purchase it, if it was still available, after pay day. (Needless to say, the item never gets purchased.) While I understand, expenses come up and times are tough, my items tend to go fast. I do not want to loose a real buyer, as opposed to someone who cannot or will not purchase, and has reserved an item.
