4 out of 5 starsReally dry, impossible to eat, you must make tea out of it or grind it into a powder. But overall a really good product and would order again.

5 out of 5 starsMy initial experience was not great, but there was a misunderstanding between the seller thinking I was an experienced grower and this being my first attempt. They have been in constant contact with me and have been willing to help me have a successful growing experience.

Frequently asked questions
Where do you get your wild mushrooms from?
The 2 people who work at Myco-Ethos are the ones who go out and forage for the wild mushrooms you find in our products. We do not over-harvest, are respectful of surrounding plant life and environment, and we put a lot of good intention and energy when harvesting each item we collect. We only harvest from areas that are far from any roads or pollution to ensure the highest quality mushrooms. We ethically and sustainably collect in various locations in Wisconsin and Michigan. We respect the power of nature and thank her for all that she provides.
How soon do I need to cut open and start using my grow kit?
Your grow kit should be good to go upon arrival* but you can let it sit for an extended period of time. We encourage you to use your kit within 1-2 weeks of receiving it, however it should still be good for up to 1 month. You may still try to fruit it after that time, but we do not guarantee success and we will not replace any kits 1 month after delivery date.
**IF IT IS NOT A SOLID BLOCK UPONE ARRIVL AND GOT BROKEN UP DURING SHIPPING: Place your unopened bag in a warm, dark space (above your fridge, in a closet, etc) for 7-10 days. This will allow your mycelium to reconnect. You will know it is finished when your bag forms a solid-feeling, white brick. Then proceed to follow included instructions.
Custom and personalized orders
We are willing to work with you! If you would like to purchase something that you don’t see (either quantity of a product or the type of product), please message us. We typically respond within a few hours!
Do you grow fresh mushrooms? I don’t see any for sale in your shop.
Due to the delicate nature of fresh mushrooms, we cannot ship them. We do grow fresh Oyster Mushrooms and sell them locally, however. If you are in the Chicagoland/Northern Illinois area, message us to get them directly from us.
Or check out. www.tasteofedenmarket.com They sell a variety of fresh produce and products from local growers and deliver right to your home. The idea is like a Farmers’ Market, but delivered. It’s a great website and our Fresh Oyster Mushrooms are on there along with lots of other fresh food. Support local!
Why are your shipping times so long?
We often make orders as they come in, which guarantees quality and freshness. Some of our products do have less processing times and if available, we try to ship as soon after an order is placed as possible. There is a lot of processing we need to do before our products can be shipped out. We produce and prepare all our orders ourselves, so that often takes a minute as we are only 2 individuals. We do strive to get our orders out as quickly as possible. If you’re on a time-crunch, just let us know and we may be able to ship it to you by when you need.
