It works well on lighter smaller bows. It did not work well on a heavier thicjer bow they sent complimentary with the glue, which I thought was odd.

About

Not "just a mom"...

Crafting is something that I have loved since a young age. You could say it is in my blood. Both of my grandma's, my mom, and my sister were constantly busy crafting, sewing, painting, doing embroidery, tatting, quilting, etc. I followed suit and I have always loved making things, and figuring out new projects. It really has been something that I have always loved to do. But with two beautiful girls and a husband in school, crafting is my outlet and therapy at the end of the day.

After finishing my own degree at Brigham Young University in Exercise Science, with a Fitness & Wellness Management emphasis and a minor in Gerontology, I was offered my dream job. A job I had only dreamed of, thinking in this economy there was no way of attaining that, let alone right after graduation. But after interviewing, and being the offered the job, it just didn't feel right. I turned the job offer down. There are still days I wonder why, and how, I did that. But it was time to be home with my daughter. When I tell people that, they are often shocked that I gave it up to "just be a mom." But the timing just wasn't right.

Though I admit, the adjustment to being a stay at home mom was a rough one. I wasn't sure how to fill our time, and what to do with myself really. I had come from being busy in classes, running our daughter back and forth to Grandma's house, and keeping track of my husband and what he was doing as well. Then suddenly, nothing. No commitments on my time. I felt lost, and unsure of myself in so many ways.

One night after I had put our daughter to bed, because I had nothing else to do, I pulled out my craft paints and painted a new holiday decoration for our home. (Remember we're college students on a budget) It turned out cute, not amazing by any means, but I felt a little bit of life breathe back into me. It sounds cheesy as can be, but it's true. From there it has just been a fun progression.

I started making things for my daughter. Headbands, blankets, toys, etc. It got a little out of control to be honest. Everywhere we went people would ask where we got an item from, to which I loved saying "I made it!". So after enough feedback in that way I decided to start doing a few craft shows here and there, and finally decided to venture into the world of online business.

It has been a great way for me to create, and remain true to myself. It's so easy to get lost in the world of "I'm just a mom." Not to take anything away from being a mom, it truly is one of my greatest blessings, but I need to be more than that too.

This video expresses EXACTLY how I feel about creating. It is something that I love and brings me to life, and I love sharing that with others!
