About

MY DAY OFF IS: _____________. Thank You

Hi everyone!
Thank you for stopping by and checking out my shop. Myrtle Bedford is run by moi, Marisa. I have been selling vintage finds in markets in Manhattan and Brooklyn for ten years or so. I have fond memories of shopping in Cheap Jacks, Andy's Cheapies, Reminiscence, The Family Jewels, Antique Boutique, and Unique. I've always been addicted to fashion and V I N T A G E . I graduated from F.I.T. with a BFA in fashion design, with high hopes of being the next Gaultier, Westwood, or Anna Sui. Ha ha, so maybe that did not happen, but MYRTLE BEDFORD did! I'm here and loving it. I love working for myself and hand picking items that you all love to wear. Every summer I travel abroad to visit my family in France and travel around checking out all the markets in London and Paris. During the rest of the year I am in New York City where I spend most of my time: tagging items, taking photos, skipping on Broome street, meditating with the NYC skyline, and recording experimental music in the studio in Brooklyn. I love New York!!!!!

Happy Shopping,
Marisa

Myrtle Bedford has been around for decades, she has just been dusty and lonely, hidden in closets around the world. When I came across her I saw beauty and hope. All she needed was a little attention, and a lot of love. I hope you love her too.

We are an honest shop that thrives on outstanding customer service!
As a small shop owner who runs the business with my heart and soul, negative feedback hurts me personally. Especially when I'm ready, willing and able to go above and beyond for my customers. If there is an item you want to purchase and have specific questions I will get back to you immediately with an honest answer. I prefer to have you make an educated purchase than be disappointed because if you're disappointed, I'm disappointed!

PLEASE NOTE: If an item is RESERVED it is still on the open market. It's just a polite way of asking others not to buy it. On several occasions a customer who did NOT reserve the item, buys it. Sometimes English is not their first language and they may not understand what "reserved" means. I apologize when this happens but it's out of my control. I try my best to make everyone of my customers happy ?
