Somos artistas míticos que elaboramos máscaras escultóricas de cuero y adornos para tu vida. Nos inspiramos en las historias, mitos y fábulas de nuestros antepasados y en las creaciones modernas de grandes artistas de fantasía del pasado y del presente. Crear nuestro arte consiste en dar forma a leyendas y mitos. Cada cuento de hadas que contamos a nuestros hijos es una herencia cultural que se remonta a nuestros antepasados. Al encontrar significado e inspiración en los mitos y la naturaleza modernos, podemos conectarnos con la relación íntima que nuestros antepasados tenían con el mundo que los rodeaba y aún mirar hacia el siglo XXI.
Leah Odom es hija nativa de Maryland y del país de la Bahía de Chesapeake. El rico entorno de la región influyó fuertemente en su amor por el aire libre y la naturaleza. Cuando era adolescente, encontró trabajo en el MD Renaissance Festival y aprendió el oficio de hacer máscaras. Muchos años de este trabajo la prepararon para embarcarse en una carrera independiente como “mimosa”. ¡La continua pasión de Leah por la artesanía y la belleza ha ayudado a alimentar una increíble habilidad para capturar con pincel y pintar los matices sutiles del ala de una mariposa o la exuberancia de una cara de hada! A través de la pintura expresa la profunda necesidad que todos tenemos del acto creativo.
Shane Odom es un hijo nativo de los bellos paisajes escarpados del centro norte de Texas. Cuando asistió a su primera feria renacentista cuando era niño, supo que había encontrado su vocación como artesano. Su interés de toda la vida por el arte y el diseño lo ha llevado a explorar muchos medios y técnicas. Un amor continuo por los mitos y las leyendas lo guió hacia la pasión por las máscaras y su profunda atracción por la imagen del "Hombre Verde" ha ayudado a crear la Orden Beneficiente del Hombre Verde que aparece en eventos en todo el país.
Hemos estado en el negocio desde 1997 y sentimos que nuestros diversos intereses y habilidades artísticas, combinados con el amor por todo lo creativo, ayudan a completar una experiencia verdaderamente "varios".

We are Mythic Artists crafting sculptural leather masks and adornments for your life. We draw our inspirations from the stories, myths, and fables of our ancestors, and the modern creations of great fantasy artists of the past and present. Creating our art is about bringing legends and myths into form. Each Fairytale we tell our children is a cultural inheritance going back to our ancestors. By finding meaning and inspiration in modern myth & nature we can connect with the intimate relationship our forbearers had with the world around them, and still face forward into the 21st century.
Leah Odom is a native daughter of Maryland and the Chesapeake Bay country. The rich environment of the region strongly shaped her love for the outdoors and the wilds. As a teen, she found work at the MD Renaissance Festival learning the craft of mask making. Many years of this work prepared her to embark upon an independent career as a “mummer”. Leah’s continuing passion for craft and beauty has helped fuel an amazing ability to capture in brush and paint the subtle shades of a butterfly wing or the exuberance of a fairy face! Through painting she expresses the deep need we all have for the creative act.
Shane Odom is a native son of the ruggedly beautiful landscapes of north central Texas, When he attended his first renaissance faire as a child, he knew he had found his calling as a craftsman. A life-long interest in art & design has lead him to explore many mediums and techniques. A continuing love for myth and legend guided him to a passion for Masks and his profound attraction to the image of the “Green Man” has helped create the Beneficent Order of the Greenman who appear at events around the country.
We have been in business since 1997, and feel that our various interest and artistic skills, combined with a love of all things creative, help to round out a truly “Miscellaneous” experience.
