Soy un diseñador de joyas y orfebre que estudió en la Universidad Tecnológica de Texas (Wreck'em Tech!!). Poco después de la escuela, me mudé a California, conocí a mi esposo que resultó ser un marine y comenzamos nuestra familia y .... todos los movimientos. Tengo dos grandes hijos que coloco en la parte superior de mi lista de prioridades. A medida que han crecido lo suficiente como para ir a la escuela, he encontrado una manera de hacer algo de tiempo para mi cosa favorita de nuevo, diseñar y hacer joyas.
Me encanta crear joyas que traigan alegría a quienes las usan. Alguien me dijo que en los últimos 10 + años, un par de aretes que habían recibido de mí habían sido parte de tantos recuerdos. Eran la pareja a la que acudir para salidas nocturnas, citas, entrevistas de trabajo y cualquier cosa importante. ¡Estaba tan emocionada de escuchar esto! Quiero que mis piezas sean un elemento básico en la colección de todos, algo en lo que no tengan que pensar o estresarse y que aumente su confianza. Creo mis joyas para que sean funcionales, fáciles, hermosas, seguras, livianas y fuertes. ¡Quiero que cada pieza refleje la belleza de la persona que la usa y agregue belleza sin problemas!
Soy una madre activa, por lo que mis joyas deben adaptarse a mi estilo de vida y estar lista para cualquier cosa, desde juegos de béisbol hasta una cita nocturna. También tengo alergias a los metales, así que quiero que mis joyas funcionen para mí y para muchos otros con alergias al metal base o al oro. Me encanta el arte y las piezas de calidad y la joyería es eso para mí también. Una pieza especial, de calidad, hecha a mano, me trae mucha más alegría que todas las bisuterías que existen. Recientemente nos mudamos de nuevo, y ahora llamo hogar a Fallbrook, California. I am a Jewelry Designer and Metalsmith who studied at Texas Tech University (Wreck'em Tech!!). Shortly after school, I moved to California, met my husband who happened to be a Marine and we began our family and .... all the moves. I have two great kids that I place on top of my priority list. As they have gotten old enough to go to school, I have found a way to make some time for my favorite thing again, designing and making jewelry.
I love to create jewelry that brings joy to those who wear it. I had someone tell me that over the last 10+ years, a pair of earrings they had received from me had been a part of so many memories. They were the "go to" pair for nights out, dates, job interviews, and anything important. I was so excited to hear this! I want my pieces to be a staple in everyone's collection, something that they don't have to think or stress about and that boosts their confidence. I create my jewelry to be functional, easy, beautiful, confident, lightweight and strong. I want each piece to reflect the beauty of the person wearing it and add beauty without the fuss!
I am an active mom, so my jewelry needs to fit my lifestyle and be ready to go for anything from baseball games to a date night. I also have metal allergies, so I want my jewelry to work for me and so many others with base metal or gold allergies. I love art and quality pieces and jewelry is that for me too. A special, quality, hand-made piece, brings me so much more joy than all the costume jewelry out there. It has a story, a personality, and it can bring so much joy! I hope my pieces provide this for others!
We recently moved again, and I now call Fallbrook, California home. My 29 Palms CA home and studio was so spacious and wonderful but I am determined to make my new home and space work for me too.
