My childhood nickname was NahNah, a name given to me by my older sister whose speech impediment made it difficult to say "Delora". She has since grown out of her speech problems, but the pet name has stuck and I can think of no better name for my brand of fiber art.
I spin exclusively on drop spindles, the way it's been done for thousands of years. This makes for smaller batches, but they produce such magnificent textures. My blended rolags are also full of texture so you can spin your own subtle art yarn.
I have always had a love for fiber arts and my shop is fueled by my desire to expand my repertoire by investing my profits in more tools. I first opened my shop while I was in high school. Back then all I had were my crochet hooks and acrylic yarns. Now I have knitting needles, drop spindles, a blending board, and a myriad of quality fibers and dyes.
I am currently attending the University of Houston and majoring in Creative Writing. It is my hope and dream to be a writer, not a famous writer, just a writer. I have found that my greatest success lies in how my work affects others. If I can touch people on an emotional level with my writing and my fiber arts, then I have succeeded.
