The item was as beautiful in person as in photos. Shipping was prompt and it was packaged to protect the piece.

One of a Kind Jewelry for One of a Kind Women

I have always enjoyed transforming raw materials into something beautiful and functional. To me, jewelry making is a natural extension of lifelong habits.

The most expensive necklace you own is the one you never wear. My goal is to create beautiful, elegant pieces that can be worn every day with multiple looks and in multiple settings. I want my pieces to last for generations.

The Naiad Necklace woman is playful, stylish, creative, and understated.

My designs typically emerge organically from the materials I have at hand, with an occasional nod to early to mid-20th century design. Also, look for lots of Chinese Export. Who doesn't love wriggly fish?

My raw materials were collected over decades. A typical Naiad Necklace combines contemporary and vintage/antique pieces to create something entirely new and unique. In this shop, "one of a kind" means precisely that--not "no two pieces are exactly the same."

Naiad Necklaces was named for my daughter.

Thank you again for visiting my shop. I love hearing from my customers, so please take your time to browse, ask questions, or leave comments.

Returns and exchanges
I want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase! All items may be returned within 7 business days of your signature confirmation. Please e-mail me first so that I know to expect the returned item. Items, including the exclusive presentation box, must be returned in their original, pristine condition using the original packaging materials. If the packing materials were damaged you may of course supplement or replace them. Items must be fully insured and returned using signature confirmation. Damaged or altered pieces will not be refunded. Original insurance costs will be deducted from your refund. If you received free shipping as part of a promotional package, shipping costs will also be deducted from your refund.

It's hard buying gifts in advance--what if she or he doesn't like it--or the return date expires before she opens it???

Within reason, I can reset the return deadline for gifts. Just convo me in advance. Please do note, however, that you must convo me in advance, or the 7 day return deadline holds.
I accept PayPal. Don't have Paypal? No problem! Use your own major credit card. Click PayPal at checkout, then press the link to pay with your own credit or debit card. I also offer PayPal’s $0 down, 6 months-no-interest financing. Just click on the "Bill Me Later" option when checking out through PayPal!

Minnesota residents will be charged applicable Minnesota sales tax.
I ship to the United States and selected other countries. If you don't see your country listed, please convo me. Within the United States, I use United States Postal Service Priority Mail with signature confirmation for all purchases under $500. For purchases totaling $500 or more, I mail using signature confirmation by an adult only. Items are mailed within 1-3 business days from the date of payment. I will send you a tracking number as soon as your items are mailed, so you can follow your items’ progress from me to you! For other countries I select the safest, most reasonable price I can find.

Naiad Necklaces fully protects your investment by providing mailing insurance up to the full amount of your purchase. For shipments within the United States, there is no charge to you for insurance. For shipments outside the United States, please convo me for a quote.

For insurance reasons, I can ship only to your registered PayPal address.
Additional policies and FAQs
I hope it never happens! My creations are my babies, and I package them accordingly. In the very unlikely event that an item arrives damaged, *please do not return it to me*! Instead, send me an e-mail. You will receive a full refund for your purchase. Please also keep the packaging so that a US Postal Officer can inspect the package if needed. Returning the packaging and/or item(s) to me risks voiding the claim.

I use high-grade silk or precious metal chain to string beads. Properly cared for, such jewelry can last a lifetime--even two or three lifetimes. When you aren’t wearing them, please always store your Naiad Necklaces by laying them flat in their own protective box or compartment. Hanging necklaces from a hook or the like increases the risk that the beads will chip, and it can stretch out silk. Do not tug at or hang heavy objects from your necklaces. Children count as heavy objects. I speak from experience.

I offer free re-wiring and re-stringing for up to 120 days after an item’s purchase. You will be responsible for postage and insurance both ways.

I love connecting the past to the present to create unique, fresh pieces. To that end, I often use vintage or antique components in my jewelry. Vintage and antique pieces are only rarely in perfect condition. Often, their wear patterns are part of their charm.
