NAOKism, the mom and son team are excited to introduce their own line of unique handmade beads accessories.

NAOKism was established in 2016 by Keiko and opened Etsy shop in September, 2020 as a place to showcase bead craft items made by their son, Naoki. He grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. He was diagnosed with autism at a young age and has difficulty with verbal communication. On the other hand, he has been very strong with visually oriented tasks and patterns. He loved to draw from a young age and his colorful and fun drawings never fail to make people smile.

In his mid teens, he was introduced to beads craft and was instantly captivated. Within the first hour of his first try, he showed signs of his outstanding ability to quickly grasp a design pattern and to accurately thread different color beads into the correct pattern. Keiko enjoys designing the patterns while Naoki quickly turns them into beautiful beads art. Many of Naoki’s fun animal drawings have been recreated in colorful beads work.

Keiko decided to help him make his hobby into something more. With some help she hopes to help him continue to sell and make more of his amazing creations and show that anyone can succeed with the right support!
