About Napmatka

Heritage. Balance. Craftsmanship.

I started knitting, embroidery and cross-stitching in my early childhood, more than thirty-five years ago. My first tutors were my grandma and my mum. The Napmatka Muhely (i.e. Sunbride Workshop) was launched as a family initiative in 2007 with a purpose to save traditions and turn it into modern colors, cut and appearance. Each of my handmade products is my own design and one-of-a-kind.
Crochet came into my life later, but equally enjoyably. I work mostly from natural yarns, merino wool. Some items are certified as 'Work of Applied Art' by the Hungarian Institute for Culture and Art.
I live in the picturesque Eastern Hungary and love taking photographs of the country as well as my crafted items.

Welcome to my world of artisan crochet. My Hungarian brand name Napmátka means 'Sunbride' in English and the workshop was founded in 2007. I design my items for classic and modern, accomplished women who bravely stand for their values and proudly express their individuality through timeless yet fresh style. My collars and scarfs are made from the finest, luxury - often superwash - merino wool, therefore they are meant to wear for decades. Some of my creations were qualified as Work of Applied Art by the Hungarian Institute for Culture and Art.
