Hand bound books and fiber arts created with vintage techniques.
Natalie was raised in a family that encouraged creative freedom, and approaches each day in the studio with that attitude. Melding book and textile arts, she draws on diverse techniques to create unique objects, utilitarian or purely artistic. In her exploration of historical fiber arts techniques, Natalie refreshes half-forgotten methods such as embroidery, needle weaving, fabric marbling, mordant patterning, and the fermentation of natural dyes. This approach brings a complex, ever-evolving vocabulary of texture and surface patterning to her work.
All of the goods are designed and created by Natalie. The natural dyes she uses are responsibly foraged or sourced from ecologically conscientious vendors. A priority is placed on energy and water efficiency in dyeing, and no heavy metals are used.
Natalie divides her time between Cragsmoor, NY where she forages and experiments with natural dyes on the Shawangunk Ridge, and Manhattan where she creates studio work and teaches.

The albums I offer are bound with blank, acid free, heavy weight pages. No photo sleeves or mounting materials are included. Please use acid free mounting materials to ensure the longevity of your book and its contents.
My recommendation for a writing instrument that will not fade over time or bleed through pages is a Pigma Micron pen, available in many colors and weights.
