The print in "person" is even more touching than I expected. I could say beautiful, and it is, but there's an emotional and mystical quality to it, as well. I have placed it directly over my computer so I see it every time I look up. Shipping time was even shorter than expected and the quality of the print is excellent. I have my eye on another of her prints to go along side this one and will be ordering it soon, too. Thanks, Natalie. Keep painting.

Top notch quality from the artwork to the paper it is printed on! Wonderful customer service and prompt shipping. " The Garden" sympathy card was amazing and perfectly appropriate for the recipient. I'm tired of the "chain" greeting cards with the cheesy sentiments. Ms Wargin's cards are so very classy. Thank you for sharing your talent!

Beautiful majestic image of an owl in flight. Can't wait to frame and hang it!

About

My Artsy Life

Part One
City Mouse
Until 2008 I lived in Chicago. My parents were both creative people and arts and crafts have always been a part of my life. My mother was a knock-off designer in Chicago’s garment district before she married my father. She was a wonderful seamstress and she taught me to sew, tailor, knit, crochet, embroider, quilt, do needlepoint and bake. My father was a draftsman by day and a painter/photographer by night and on weekends. With him I learned to use oils, watercolors, acrylics, pastels, colored pencils, wire, clay, graphite, charcoal, pen and ink. We kept busy.

I studied design at the University of Illinois and became a graphic designer with my own little studio. I love graphic design but I've always had other things on the back burner. I made and exhibited art quilts, many of which are in private collections. And somewhere along the line I got interested in paper mache. I like the slow, simple process of layering strips of newspaper dipped in white glue. Decoration is a combination of faux bois, painting and decoupage. All of the paper I use is up-cycled; newspapers, phone books, used cardboard boxes. Each piece is one of a kind.

My paper mache work has been featured in Midwest Living Magazine, Orange County Home Magazine and the Chicago Tribune. One of my tables, a fairy tale demilune, appears in two books: “Tables” and “500 Tables: Inspiring Interpretations of Function & Style,” by Lark Books.

Part Two
Country Mouse
In 2008 I moved to the hamlet of Cottekill in the Hudson River Valley. I began to design greeting cards incorporating elements of the gorgeous landscape and I began to paint. The watercolors are my journal. They are a way for me to remember what I see here in the foothills of the Catskills; the woods and farms, plants and animals, so different from things in Chicago where I lived for most of my life. And the paintings and prints are a way for me to share what I see.

From time to time I publish a newsletter featuring new work and special offers. If you'd like to be on my mailing list you can sign up here:
