About

To Capture Joy

Ever since I was a young girl growing up in Switzerland, I found joy in the sweet fragrance of spring cherry blossoms. I was blessed to have three of the beautiful and majestic trees growing beneath my bedroom window. Every spring the blossoms were so amazing and pure, perfuming the air and lulling me to sleep at night.

In the summer I played under those trees, not a care in the world. In the fall my grandfather gave me a little basket to tie around my waist and I was allowed to help pick the sweet cherries from the trees and then help my mom and grandma pick through them to make sure only the most beautiful ones were put in the baskets for sale and we ate as many as we could of the others :)

One sad winter I learned that I had to leave my beloved Switzerland and our family would be moving to Canada. Driving away from the happy little farm I had known all my life was so hard. The last thing I saw were the empty stark cherry blossom branches, and my dear Omi that I had hugged goodbye.

20 years have now passed but the memories are still so fresh. I am trying to capture the innocence and purity of those beautiful spring blossoms and the joy of childhood in my paintings. Oh to be free, running through the hills and picking flowers again! Sitting by the little creek and feeling the warm sun on your face and the cool water on your feet.

With my paintings I try to capture that feeling of being loved, safe and peaceful. My dear husband is Chinese and I'm sure you see some of the Asian influence on my art as well.

I now spend my days painting, and creating happy new memories with my family and friends. It is so exciting to unwrap a blank canvas and to visualize all the possible creations that could be. I am grateful for every one of my dear customers that helps support my dream of being and artist and of creating beauty every day.

I am an artist and love to create new paintings. I am the only person in my shop and do everything from making listings, taking photos, sending convos, painting (of course!), varnishing and carefully wrapping the finished artwork and mailing it out.

Shipping
Since I live in Canada and most of my customers are from the USA, I work really hard to make sure your painting is carefully and personally wrapped and placed in custom boxes for its long journey to you. Of course insurance is included on all my paintings. If (heaven forbid) there is damage to a painting I fully stand behind my product and will either issue store credit towards another painting of equal value or a painting can also be re-commissioned to replace what was lost/damaged. (If you have a damaged painting please contact me as soon as possible and keep the packaging as it may be required for me to claim insurance).

I mail my artwork with Expedited-USA parcel service which takes between 3-7 business days. If you need your art quicker, please email me and I can give you a price quote for faster shipments (FedEx is 3-5 business days to the USA and generally costs about $55/painting depending on size).

Within Canada it takes less then a week usually.

Overseas/International customers please note that shipping is over $140 for some sizes, but I am splitting this cost with you to allow greater distribution of my artwork. I mail with the quickest priority available which is 4-12 business days. If a painting from my shop doesn't mail to your country it is because it is too large to mail stretched, but I could send it un-stretched and rolled in a shipping tube. Please contact me if you are interested in this option.
Refunds and Exchanges
All my paintings are fully guaranteed to be amazing, brand new, and free of any defects, and I do offer full refunds/exchanges or offer store credit. If a painting was damaged I will be responsible for shipping costs, if it is a return/exchange for any other reason the customer is responsible for all shipping costs.

The painting must be mailed back to me within 1 week of the customer receiving it for the refund using the same packaging materials and wrapping method as it was sent to you. A refund will be sent once the painting safely arrived back with me.

For custom made artwork I will not accept a return or exchange as I only mail my artwork upon express approval from the customer or keep working on it to ensure your happiness.
Additional policies and FAQs
All artwork is signed in full, dated and numbered in the back. I keep meticulous records of all paintings I ever created.
